Sneezeweed Septembergold will reliably brighten up any garden when summer slowly hands over its scepter to autumn. The original species of this long-lived perennial come from the moister meadow growths and forest edges of North America. For successful cultivation, therefore, it will appreciate a sunny spot with well-drained, loamy, and highly humous soil that retains adequate moisture. It is an exceptionally frost-resistant plant that effortlessly endures even harsh winters, so you don't have to worry about it even in colder regions. The massive clumps with dark green leaves grow up to around one meter tall and do not need any support. From July to September, floods of flowers open on sturdy stems. The Septembergold variety stands out with a magnificent golden-yellow shade that brings a warm atmosphere to the beds. These flowers are literally a magnet for bees, bumblebees, and other pollinators. Although the plant does not suffer from diseases, watch out for slugs and snails in the spring when sprouting, as they might feast on the young shoots. Please note that the entire plant is poisonous and not intended for consumption. In the garden, sneezeweed applies perfectly in mixed perennial beds combined with ornamental grasses or autumn asters. Ideally plant three to four pieces per square meter with spacings of forty to fifty centimeters so they soon form a dense canopy. It is also excellent for cutting into summer and autumn bouquets. It will stay fresh in a vase for a long time and bring a piece of solar energy right into your home. It is not suitable for drying for floral purposes.

You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant straight into the flower bed, where it will very soon form a neat, richly branched bush reaching a height of around fifty centimeters. It is an absolutely undemanding plant that is not bothered by diseases or pests, so its cultivation can be easily handled even by complete beginners. It comfortably withstands severe frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees Celsius.
In the garden, hyssop finds wide application. It fits perfectly into steppe-character gravel beds and beautifully complements roses or lower ornamental grasses. During the summer until early autumn, the Roseus variety will delight you with a flood of tiny flowers in a delicate light pink shade. The approximately one meter tall straight stems are adorned with deep green leaves and bear dense inflorescences on top from July to August. At the same time, the whole plant smells very pleasantly, which acts as a reliable magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies from the wide surroundings.
Although phlox is very easy to grow and even complete beginners can manage the care, it pays to pay attention to the correct choice of location. We send customers already mature seedlings in a pot, which you can easily transplant directly into the garden. Here, phlox thrives best in a sunny to semi-shady location with loamy, humous, and well-drained soil. It is ideal to keep a spacing of about fifty centimeters when planting so that each clump has enough space to grow. They like plenty of moisture, and stable humidity is important to them. During severe drought, they can react sensitively and be more susceptible to powdery mildew, so they will welcome more abundant watering in the hot summer. Fortunately, you don't have to worry about pests; they avoid it. As for winter, you can throw your worries behind you, because the plant can handle severe frosts down to minus thirty-four degrees.
In ornamental beds, phlox stands out both individually in larger groups and in combination with other summer perennials or shorter ornamental grasses. Furthermore, it is an absolutely ideal plant for cutting into vases. It will lend your home not only beautiful pastel colors but also its unmistakable sweet scent. From the seedling you receive, a sturdy clump will grow, reaching a height of around eighty centimeters. It is one of the very low-maintenance plants for beginners, completely avoiding diseases and pests. Although it behaves more like a short-lived perennial here, it readily self-seeds in a suitable location. The tiny flowers, colored in pure white and light pink shades, resemble little butterflies and bloom tirelessly from June until October. It gives flowerbeds an extraordinary lightness and airiness, making it beautiful to combine with ornamental grasses. During the long months of flowering, gaura is constantly surrounded by bees, for which it represents a rich source of food. The flowers are excellent for cutting into summer bouquets. We harvest the stems for vases as soon as the first two to three flowers on the stem open. Conversely, the plant is not suitable for drying. Pro úspěšný růst vyberte plně slunné místo, kde se rostlině bude dařit nejlépe a vybarví se do sytých zlatavých odstínů. Půda by měla být ideálně hlinitá, propustná a bohatá na humus. Záplevák ocení mírně vlhké prostředí, proto do vykopané jamky před výsadbou přidejte trochu dobře vyzrálého kompostu, který pomůže zadržet potřebnou vláhu. Rostliny vysazujte na vzdálenost 40 až 50 centimetrů od sebe. Na jeden metr čtvereční se skvěle hodí tři až čtyři kusy, díky čemuž se porost krásně zapojí a vytvoří hustý trs dorůstající výšky kolem jednoho metru. Navzdory své výšce mají pevné stonky, takže nevyžadují žádnou oporu. Během vegetační sezóny je péče o tuto dlouhověkou trvalku velmi nenáročná, a proto je ideální i pro úplné začátečníky. Pravidelná zálivka je důležitá především v sušších letních měsících, aby půda zůstala přiměřeně vlhká. Rostlina naštěstí netrpí žádnými chorobami, jediné nebezpečí hrozí brzy na jaře při rašení mladých výhonů. V tomto období si dejte velký pozor na slimáky a plzáky, kteří by si na nich rádi pochutnali. Suché stonky můžete ponechat na záhoně přes zimu a seříznout je těsně nad zemí až brzy na jaře, než začnou rašit nové výhony. Tím zajistíte, že rostlina nabere dostatek síly pro další sezónu. Jednou za tři až čtyři roky na jaře trs opatrně vykopejte, rozdělte a přesaďte, čímž ho zmladíte a podpoříte jeho dlouhověkost. Často se ptáte, zda je možné pěstovat tuto rostlinu také v nádobách nebo prostorných truhlících na terase. Calamint Blue Cloud
Lesser calamint Blue Cloud is an undemanding and modest perennial that reliably perfumes any sunny garden. Its original homeland is the sunny and dry slopes of Southern Europe, which is why it thrives best here in direct sun in well-drained, sandy, or poorer loamy soil. It handles winter without problems, tolerating frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant straight into the flowerbed, where it will very soon form a compact, airy small shrub reaching a height of up to forty centimeters. It does not suffer from any diseases or pests, so even complete beginners can easily handle caring for it. Throughout late summer and into autumn, it blooms with a record number of tiny blue flowers that are so typical of the Blue Cloud variety. The whole plant emits a pleasant minty-spicy scent, and its flowers, which resemble thyme, act as a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look great among roses or in naturally designed steppe flowerbeds, where it naturally complements lower ornamental grasses. Additionally, both the blue flowers and green leaves are edible, so you can use them to garnish summer dishes. Lesser calamint is also excellently suited for cutting into smaller fresh bouquets, adding a fine structure to them in a vase.

It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

Its wild form originates from the sun-drenched Balkans, where it naturally grows on sunny hillsides and in warm thickets. You will receive from us a mature seedling in a pot, which just needs to be transplanted into well-drained loamy or sandy soil in the sun or partial shade. Here it will quickly take root and form a vigorous clump. The Red Knight cultivar enchants with slender stems up to ninety centimeters tall, which all summer from June to September carry a flood of dark burgundy to deep wine-red flowers. These edible flowers act as a huge attraction for bees, bumblebees, and other insects. The plant is an ideal choice for beginners because it reliably resists frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees and does not suffer from any pests or diseases.
