Echinacea purpurea

A valuable garden and medicinal perennial, native to North America. It blooms in summer with dark purplish-pink flowers. The spiky flower heads are an irresistible magnet for butterflies. Helleborus orientalis

Hellebores are evergreen perennials that form slowly spreading clumps of leathery, dark green leaves. The stems typically bear four to five flowers. They bloom very early, in late winter and early spring. They are suitable for vases only after noticeable seed pods form in the center of the flower and the flower has matured. Before this, they tend to wilt, and the stems cannot hold the flower upright. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Helleborus 'Double Ellen Yellow Spotted' has light yellow-green semi-double flowers with striking, deep burgundy speckles.

St. John's Wort bred for floristic use. It blooms with smaller yellow flowers, but the important part comes after them. Namely, spherical, slightly pointed fruits that hold well on the plant. They are neither poisonous nor edible; their use is purely decorative. St. John's Wort often re-blooms immediately after the first wave of fruits ripens, so you can find both flowers and fruits on one bush simultaneously. In a vase, it lasts two weeks. Delicate decorative, long-lived shade-loving perennials with pinnate leaves and magnificent feathery inflorescences. They originate primarily from East Asia, but also from eastern North America. We harvest them when half of the inflorescence is in bloom. They are very sensitive to ethylene released from ripening fruit. Fanal has strikingly garnet-red flowers, and its sprouting leaves are also red, remaining dark green for the rest of the season.
