Cosmos Apricotta, Loukykvět

Cosmos bipinnatus

Cosmos are an absolute classic and a matter of the heart for us! In the past, we cut them by hundreds of stems on the farm and our customers, especially brides, literally loved them for their lightness and elegance. While common cosmos mainly offer a white and deep pink palette, 'Apricotta' brings a completely new and fresh color tone to the flowerbeds. It is a unique combination of light pink and the lightest salmon, which looks incredibly tender and original. The flowers have a silky appearance and gently sway in the wind, which adds pleasant dynamics to the garden.

Statice QIS Pastel, Loukykvět
For drying

Limonium sinuatum

Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. QIS Pastel is a beautiful sample of colors in tones of blue, violet, lavender and pink. One plant produces at least 15 stems. For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Larkspur QIS White, Loukykvět

Delphinium consolida

Delphinium consolida, known better as Larkspur, is a typical annual for both country and modern gardens. The 'QIS White' cultivar stands out with pure white flowers that densely cover long, straight stems. These can grow up to one hundred and twenty centimeters in height, creating an interesting layer in the flower bed and adding airiness to the space. The pure white color acts as a great neutral element that easily connects even very colorful flowers in the vicinity. These are wonderful spring beauties that are hard to beat at the turn of spring and summer. They are very easy to grow from seeds and pose no major challenge for beginners. In floristry, they are suitable for wedding bouquets and for drying. For a perfect cut, you must be quick and harvest the stems before all the buds have fully opened. We recommend sowing the seeds gradually at two-week intervals during the spring or at the end of summer so you can enjoy the beauty of these flowers for as long as possible.

Vaccaria Pink Beauty, Loukykvět

Saponaria vaccaria

Saponaria vaccaria, or cow soapwort 'Pink Beauty', is a reliable annual that brings a romantic and airy element to summer flower beds. It easily makes up for its unconventional name with a rich profusion of tiny, pastel-pink flowers that bring a sense of lightness to the garden. These appear on sturdy stems sixty to ninety centimeters tall during the summer months, from June to September. The delicate flowers not only look beautiful and soften the surrounding plantings, but they also act as a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, which will naturally enliven your garden. For healthy growth, cow soapwort appreciates a bright location, but it can grow in light shade without any problems. It looks very elegant in the garden, and thanks to its structure—reminiscent of baby's breath—it combines perfectly with more robust types of flowers, for which it makes a delicate background. You can confidently cut three to four richly branched stems from each plant. They will bring great joy even if you simply place them in small vases in your living room. Cow soapwort grows and blooms very quickly from seeds, which in practice means that it also fades a bit faster. If you want to enjoy its delicate pink flowers in the bed and in the vase for as long as possible, it is worth sowing the seeds in stages. You can perform direct sowing from February to May in several consecutive phases. Even complete beginners can thus have fresh cut flowers available throughout the season.

Zinnia Cresto Peachy Pink, Loukykvět

Zinnia elegans

Zinnia 'Cresto Peachy Pink' brings a refreshing palette of colors full of cool tones to summer flower beds. Growing this charming annual from seeds is ideal even for complete beginners. The seeds are sown directly into the flower bed during May and June, as soon as the danger of frost has passed. The 'Cresto' series is characterized by fully double, scabiosa-flowered types that catch the eye with their unconventional shape and fluffy centers. Compared to the 'Peaches & Cream' variety, this variant offers cooler shades of pink, from pastel to deep bubblegum, with delicate touches of tangerine and apricot. The plants grow to a height of sixty to ninety centimeters, and occasional pinching will benefit them with richer branching. In the garden, they form beautiful combinations with delicate ornamental grasses or other annuals in similar tones. Zinnia also acts as a reliable magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. Long, sturdy stems, which sometimes benefit from light support, make this flower the perfect material for cutting. The colorful flowers last for many days in a vase and will enliven any summer interior.

Cornflower Tall Double Blue Boy, Loukykvět

Thanks to its strong stems growing up to eighty centimeters tall, this annual is perfectly suited for cutting, adding true rustic charm to bouquets. But its use doesn't end in the vase. Sunflower comes from the sunny plains of North America and is an inseparable part of our gardens as a symbol of summer. The 'ProCut White Lite' variety brings a pleasant refreshment to the yellow assortment in the form of creamy light yellow flowers with an attractive greenish-yellow center. This is a reliable single-stem annual from a professional series bred specifically for floral purposes. It does not produce pollen, so you can use it in interior decorations without worrying about allergies. In the garden, it grows to a height of eighty to one hundred and twenty centimeters. Covered seeds will germinate in five to ten days. Then, transplant them into sun or partial shade. You can repeat sowings from April to August, which will cause them to bloom gradually from July to autumn. Do not pinch the plants, but provide support for straight stems. Cornflower Tall Double Red Boy, Loukykvět

Centaurea cyanus

Everyone knows classic field cornflowers, but the 'Tall Double Red Boy' variety brings a completely different spectacle to the garden. It is a very unusual shade of deep raspberry, which we fell in love with immediately after one plant accidentally bloomed among our blue cornflowers last year. The richly double flowers measure approximately four centimeters in diameter and grow on stems up to eighty centimeters tall. The silvery gray-green foliage gives the whole composition a delicate look that beautifully softens the surrounding planting. The raspberry cornflower stands out best in natural-looking flower beds, where it pairs perfectly with ornamental grasses, daisies, or white-flowering annuals. Throughout the summer, it serves as a plentiful feast for bees and bumblebees. Lovers of fresh arrangements love using it in colorful summer bouquets, where its unconventional color immediately catches everyone's eye. It works just as well for drying into dry decorations that will remind you of warm days even during the cold months. Moreover, it is a plant with edible flowers, which you can easily use to decorate festive cakes or summer drinks.

Zinnia elegans

Zinnia 'Benary’s Giant Lime' brings a very unusual and sought-after color to gardens. Its giant, double flowers shine with a fresh lime hue that creates a pleasant contrast to traditional annuals in the flower bed. It is a vigorously growing flower, and growing it is a breeze even for complete beginners. Simply sow the seeds in the spring from April to June into standard loamy, humus-rich, or sandy soil. The plant appreciates a sunny location the most, but will grow in partial shade without the slightest problem. Since it can grow to a height of over one meter, it is worth preparing support for it in time. From mid-summer until autumn, you can look forward to a continuous flood of green flowers. For richer branching, we recommend pinching the young plants at the beginning of their growth. Zinnia is absolutely great for anyone who likes to arrange their own bouquets. In floristry, lime flowers are widely used as a filler, as they optically connect the entire color palette and stay beautiful in a vase for many days. Eucalyptus (also known as gum tree) is one of the most requested greens and fillers in floristry ever, it is trendy! Eucalyptus Silver "Dollar" grows beautifully tall, the branches are more sparsely built. The leaves are larger and round in shape. The color of Silver Dollar is more silvery and thus in floristry fits rather into colder color combinations. Dahlia Wine Eyed Jill, Loukykvět

Dahlia

Love at first sight for everyone! Definitely on the list of the 10 most popular; it gets cut so much that it's a problem to find enough flowers to photograph. We don't grow many multi-colored varieties, but in this case, we have to admit that the combination of pink, powder, and burgundy can never be wrong! It can't be combined with every color, but for wedding work, it is an absolutely genius piece!

Dahlia Ivanetti, Loukykvět

Dahlia

A ball Dahlia like fine wine; the flower color perfectly resembles red wine. And that's a color you'll appreciate for wedding arrangements, as dark burgundy is trending! The flowers are very regular, medium-sized, and grow vigorously on long, beautifully straight stems.

Dahlia Souvenir D’eté, Loukykvět

Dahlia

It blooms like crazy, so it's necessary to frequently deadhead faded blooms to keep it looking beautiful. The plants grow low but are still great for cutting. A ball Dahlia blooming on contrasting darker stems. The center of the flower, as is typical, is darker than the rest, which occasionally fades to almost an apricot-pink. A beautiful, energetic Dahlia; we think it fits perfectly into autumn arrangements.

Dahlia Black Jack, Loukykvět

Dahlia

We are always looking for new varieties in dark burgundy, almost black, as it is a trendy wedding color. Black Jack is a serious candidate! The flowers are giant, and the petals are pointed. The leaves are captivatingly dark, so it delights not only in a vase but also in the flowerbed. It generally blooms as one of the last Dahlias; it takes its time. Therefore, we do not recommend it for higher altitudes; for farms, it is ideal to grow it in a polytunnel.
