Betony Superba, also known as Stachys, is a perennial you will fall in love with for its low maintenance and striking inflorescences. It originally comes from the mountain meadows of the Caucasus, where it grows on sunny slopes, and thanks to this, it is completely frost-resistant and hardy here. It forms dense carpets of deep green, wrinkled leaves, above which sturdy stems with large, purplish-pink flowers stand tall in June and July. These are literally a magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies, providing them with a rich source of nectar. It soon reached great popularity in European gardens and has been systematically bred since the nineteenth century. It is a classic garden perennial that will bring a romantic mood and abundant floods of flowers to summer flowerbeds. The straight stems, about one meter tall, are adorned with deep green leaves and bear dense inflorescences on the tops from July to August. At the same time, the whole plant smells very pleasant, which acts as a reliable magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies from the wide surroundings.
Although phlox is very easy to grow and even complete beginners can handle its care, it pays to pay attention to the right choice of location. We send customers fully grown seedlings directly in pots, which you can easily transplant straight into the garden. Here, phloxes benefit most from a sunny to partially shaded location with loamy, humous, and well-drained soil. It is ideal to maintain a spacing of about fifty centimeters when planting, so that each clump has enough space to grow. They like plenty of moisture, and stable humidity is important for them. During severe drought, they can react sensitively and be more prone to powdery mildew, so they will welcome more abundant watering in the hot summer. Pěstování bukvice 'Superba' je díky její odolnosti a přizpůsobivosti radost i pro úplné začátečníky. Sazenice, které od nás obdržíte, vysazujte nejlépe na slunné stanoviště nebo do polostínu. Ačkoliv se jedná o velmi tolerantní rostlinu, nejlépe bude prosperovat v běžné zahradní zemině, která je hlinitá, propustná a humózní. Vyhněte se pouze místům, kde se dlouhodobě drží voda, aby nedošlo k uhnívání kořenů. Při výsadbě dodržujte spon přibližně 40 cm (cca 7 až 9 rostlin na metr čtvereční), což rostlinám poskytne dostatek prostoru pro zdravý vývoj, ale zároveň jim umožní se časem spojit do krásného zapojeného porostu, který přirozeně potlačuje růst plevele.
Co se týče zálivky a péče během sezóny, bukvice ocení mírně vlhkou půdu. Zálivka je důležitá zejména v prvních týdnech po výsadbě, než sazenice dobře zakoření, a poté v horkých letních dnech, kdy by půda neměla zcela vyschnout. Anemones come from the same family as buttercups. With their elegant flowers on long slender stems, they can liven up and brighten late summer and autumn beds. They stand out against the darker background of shrub groups and will also be grateful for their partial shade. The Czech Perennial Association chose autumn Anemones as the perennial of the season for 2022. They last 7 days in a vase. Whirlwind is a historical variety bred in 1887 in the USA. It has a semi-double pure white flower, often with inner twisted petals, and compact, strictly upright growth. The flowers are very durable.
