Heuchera hybrida

Coral bells Rockies Amber

Coral bells 'Rockies Amber' is a fascinating perennial that is guaranteed to liven up the shady corners of your garden with its colors. The original wild species of coral bells come from the forest and rocky areas of North America, where they grow as undergrowth beneath tree canopies. That is why they feel best in partial shade or shade here as well. Normal loamy and well-drained soil with a medium intensity of watering suits it. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which just needs to be transplanted straight into the flower bed, where it will easily survive even severe frosts dropping down to minus thirty-four degrees. It is an ideal choice for beginners; the plant needs no support and caring for it is really easy, it's just good to occasionally watch out for vine weevils. The 'Rockies Amber' cultivar stands out with gorgeous leaves in shades of orange and bronze, which will keep the flower bed attractive even during the cold months thanks to its beautiful winter effect. From May to July, it additionally produces delicate creamy white flowers on stems twenty to forty centimeters high, which are happily visited by bees and other pollinators. A planting spacing of thirty to forty centimeters will allow coral bells to form a continuous carpet; it is enough to plant seven to nine of them per square meter. The flowers perfectly lighten up summer bouquets, so do not hesitate to cut them for a vase. Conversely, they are not suitable for drying, but they will reliably bring joy in the flower bed, even though it belongs more among short-lived perennials. Show full description

Coral bells Silver Scrolls, Loukykvět
New

Heuchera hybrida

Coral bells 'Silver Scrolls' will brighten up even the shadiest corners of your garden with its unusually colored leaves. Wild Heucheras come from the wooded and rocky areas of North America, where they naturally grow in the undergrowth of taller trees. That is why they will be best off in partial shade or shade in your garden. From the supplied grown seedling in a pot, which you simply transplant straight into the flower bed, a rich clump will quickly grow. It likes well-drained, humus-rich soil with moderate but regular watering. Even a complete beginner can manage growing it; it needs no support and playfully resists severe frosts down to minus thirty-four degrees. The 'Silver Scrolls' cultivar is exceptional for its silvery gray leaves, which have a distinct burgundy shade on the underside. During May to July, thin stems growing up to sixty centimeters emerge from the center of the plant, on which tiny, pure white and light pink flowers appear. These edible flowers act as a great attraction for bees and other pollinators. If you like decorating your home, you can use the stems with flowers for cutting into spring and summer bouquets. While they are not suitable for drying for floristry purposes, the plant will ensure a beautiful winter effect in the flower bed because its colorful leaves remain attractive even under a layer of snow. It is a short-lived perennial that does not self-seed. To achieve a continuous cover, we recommend planting roughly six to nine plants per square meter, ideally at a distance of thirty to forty centimeters apart. Just beware of potential waterlogging and occasionally check whether a vine weevil is feasting on the plant.

Gaura Siskiyou Pink, Loukykvět

Gaura lindheimeri

Gaura Siskiyou Pink is a charming perennial that brings lightness and airiness to the garden. Its original native area is in the warm regions of Texas and Louisiana, which is why it thrives in full sun and well-drained sandy soil. It grows in clumps and from June until the autumn frosts produces tiny raspberry-pink flowers that resemble fluttering butterflies. An interesting detail of this variety is the green leaves with a bronze tint and red spots. It is an absolutely undemanding plant, does not suffer from diseases or pests, and even beginners can handle its care. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply need to transplant directly into the flowerbed. Here it complements ornamental grasses perfectly and acts as an attraction for bees and bumblebees. Although it grows more as a short-lived perennial in our climate, in a suitable place it reliably self-seeds. Occasional pinching will encourage richer branching. Gaura is excellent for summer bouquets. We cut the stems for a vase as soon as the first two to three little flowers open.

Phlox Sweet Summer Compact White, Loukykvět

Phlox paniculata

The Phlox 'Sweet Summer Compact White', commonly known as garden phlox, is a perennial that inherently belongs in country gardens and grandmother's flower beds. It originally comes from North America, where it grows in moist meadows and woodland edges, suggesting that it will also appreciate nutritious, well-drained soil with plenty of moisture in your garden. If you provide it with a sunny or partially shaded location, it will reward you with rich panicles of snow-white flowers that spread a delicate, nostalgic fragrance around them. It is an ideal choice for beginner growers because it is a vigorous and resilient plant. Brunnera macrophylla, Loukykvět

Brunnera macrophylla

The largeleaf brunnera comes from the moist mountain forests of the Caucasus, where it forms dense undergrowth. It is an ideal perennial for shady and semi-shady corners of your garden, where it will thrive in humus-rich, moist soil. It resembles classic forget-me-nots in appearance, but don't be fooled, its leaves are much larger, heart-shaped, and rough to the touch. Thanks to them, it acts as a great groundcover plant that sprouts early in the spring and reliably covers bare soil with its leaves until late autumn. It thus forms a natural contrasting background for the delicate, tiny flowers. Tiny sky-blue flowers appear in April, May, and June, creating a beautiful delicate veil over the green carpet of leaves. The flower clusters are also suitable for cutting into spring hand-tied bouquets, where they look very tender. Just watch out for snails and slugs, who like to feast on the juicy leaves of the brunnera, so it's a good idea to check the plants regularly. It is a long-lived and hardy perennial that handles severe frosts without problems and will bring you joy in one place for many years.

Phlox, also known as garden phlox, is originally a native perennial to North America. It quickly achieved great popularity in European gardens and has been systematically bred since the 19th century. It is a classic perennial that many remember from our grandmothers' gardens, but it also has its place in modern plantings. The common columbine is a versatile perennial that will reliably inhabit both rural and modern flowerbeds. In the wild, it grows on the edges of forests and in light groves across all of Europe, which is why it thrives best in the garden in full sun to partial shade and ordinary loamy soil rich in humus. Its main charm lies in its unusually shaped flowers, but it is also valuable for its very early sprouting green leaves, which awaken the garden after winter. You will receive a beautifully grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant to your chosen spot. Although the plant is poisonous, it represents a huge asset for gardeners. Even complete beginners can manage growing it, pests avoid it, and it easily survives severe frosts dropping to minus thirty-four degrees. During May and June, delicate flowers bloom on sturdy, sixty to eighty-centimeter-tall stems, bringing typical airiness and lightness to the planting. The 'Kristall' cultivar is a large-flowered variety that stands out with pure white flowers and prominent spurs. These act as a reliable magnet for bees, bumblebees, and other beneficial pollinators. Keep in mind that in a favorable location, columbine very willingly self-seeds, taking care of natural-looking wild stands. It works well in perennial beds and as an undergrowth beneath taller shrubs. If you like bringing a piece of the garden home, columbine certainly won't disappoint you. It is perfectly suited for cutting and will bring a novel structure to spring bouquets. Fresh flowers will bring you joy in a vase for about seven days. If you leave some of the flowers to finish blooming on the flowerbed, they will form interesting seed pods, which are highly popular among florists for creating various natural decorations and can also be dried well. Euphorbia Miners Merlot, Loukykvět

Euphorbia amygdaloides

Euphorbia Miners Merlot is a dramatic element of any spring flowerbed that immediately grabs attention with its unusual coloring. This variety is characterized by deep burgundy to purple leaves that form a perfect contrast to the bright lime-green inflorescences appearing from April to June. The original botanical species of wood spurge naturally occurs in light forests and on their edges, so even in the garden, it will appreciate a location in the sun or partial shade with well-draining, humus-rich soil. Although it is more of a short-lived perennial, it will form dense clumps during its life that effectively fill the space between other plants and reach heights of up to 60 centimeters. It is a rewarding plant even for beginner gardeners because it does not suffer from diseases or pests and easily handles frosts down to -20 °C. Furthermore, the flowers are full of nectar, so in the spring they reliably attract bees and other pollinators. Miners Merlot is also perfectly suited for cutting into a vase, where its lime flowers add freshness and a modern look to bouquets. Cultivation

Kultivar Rockies Amber je pro svou nenáročnost ideální volbou pro začátečníky. Nejlépe se mu daří na stanovištích v polostínu nebo v chladnějším stínu, kam nedopadá přímé polední slunce. Rostlině vyhovuje běžná hlinitá a dobře propustná půda.
Rostlina nepotřebuje žádnou oporu a zachovává si své nádherně oranžové a bronzové olistění i přes zimu, čímž vytváří úžasný zimní efekt. Navíc bez problémů zvládá kruté mrazy klesající až k -34 °C. Jakmile na jaře poleví mrazy, pečlivě projděte trsy a zahradnickými nůžkami odstraňte všechny oschlé a poškozené listy, aby rostlina rychle nasadila čerstvé olistění. Zákazníci se nás také velmi často ptají na pěstování v nádobách a truhlících. Dlužicha je k tomuto účelu jako stvořená, stačí dodržet několik základních pravidel:
