Sunflower ProCut White Lite, Loukykvět

Helianthus annuus

Sunflower comes from the sunny plains of North America and is an inseparable part of our gardens as a symbol of summer. The 'ProCut White Lite' variety brings a pleasant refreshment to the yellow assortment in the form of creamy light yellow flowers with an attractive greenish-yellow center. This is a reliable single-stem annual from a professional series bred specifically for floral purposes. It does not produce pollen, so you can use it in interior decorations without worrying about allergies. In the garden, it grows to a height of eighty to one hundred and twenty centimeters. Covered seeds will germinate in five to ten days. Then, transplant them into sun or partial shade. You can repeat sowings from April to August, which will cause them to bloom gradually from July to autumn. Do not pinch the plants, but provide support for straight stems. Centaurea cyanus

Everyone knows classic field cornflowers, but the 'Tall Double Red Boy' variety brings a completely different spectacle to the garden. The richly double flowers measure approximately four centimeters in diameter and grow on stems up to eighty centimeters tall. The silvery gray-green foliage gives the whole composition a delicate look that beautifully softens the surrounding planting. The raspberry cornflower stands out best in natural-looking flower beds, where it pairs perfectly with ornamental grasses, daisies, or white-flowering annuals. Throughout the summer, it serves as a plentiful feast for bees and bumblebees. Lovers of fresh arrangements love using it in colorful summer bouquets, where its unconventional color immediately catches everyone's eye. Vaccaria Pink Beauty, Loukykvět

Saponaria vaccaria

Saponaria vaccaria, or cow soapwort 'Pink Beauty', is a reliable annual that brings a romantic and airy element to summer flower beds. It easily makes up for its unconventional name with a rich profusion of tiny, pastel-pink flowers that bring a sense of lightness to the garden. These appear on sturdy stems sixty to ninety centimeters tall during the summer months, from June to September. The delicate flowers not only look beautiful and soften the surrounding plantings, but they also act as a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, which will naturally enliven your garden. For healthy growth, cow soapwort appreciates a bright location, but it can grow in light shade without any problems. It looks very elegant in the garden, and thanks to its structure—reminiscent of baby's breath—it combines perfectly with more robust types of flowers, for which it makes a delicate background. You can confidently cut three to four richly branched stems from each plant. They will bring great joy even if you simply place them in small vases in your living room. Cow soapwort grows and blooms very quickly from seeds, which in practice means that it also fades a bit faster. If you want to enjoy its delicate pink flowers in the bed and in the vase for as long as possible, it is worth sowing the seeds in stages. You can perform direct sowing from February to May in several consecutive phases. Even complete beginners can thus have fresh cut flowers available throughout the season.

The color is changeable and hard to define with one word; pastel and coral pink mix with apricot reflections and transition into light salmon tones. It is precisely this ability to change shade according to the light that makes it an indispensable treasure for wedding bouquets. Like other ball varieties, it has the longest vase life of all dahlia types. You can support this by searing the stems after harvesting.

Dahlia Sweet Nathalie, Loukykvět

Dahlia

The 'Sweet Nathalie' dahlia won us over with its incredibly delicate color palette, from the lightest pastel pink to a creamy center. Thanks to this, it was one of the most used dahlias for weddings. It has perfectly shaped flowers and rounded petals. As a result, the whole plant has a very tender impression, which is further accentuated by the contrasting dark stems. The flowers reach a size of around 10 to 13 centimeters, and even in full bloom, they do not close into a complete ball, but rather maintain a hemisphere shape with a flat back.

Dahlia Otto’s Thrill, Loukykvět

Dahlia

It looks like the fraternal twin of the Islander Dahlia. Only the petals are straight and curved at the ends, looking more polished and orderly. But if you are looking for a smaller Dahlia, you've come to the wrong place; the flowers are just as big—the best ones reach up to 25 cm.

Dahlia Totally Tangerine, Loukykvět

Dahlia

The 'Totally Tangerine' Dahlia captivates at first glance with the unusual anemone shape of its smaller flowers, sized around eight centimeters. Its distinctive center is formed by a cushion of tiny florets in red-orange shades, which are bordered by yellowish edges. The petals around the perimeter of the flower transition into softer pink shades. In flowerbeds, it looks playful and natural, while in vases, it adds a unique texture to bouquets.

Dahlia Bacardi, Loukykvět

Dahlia

We fell in love with Bacardi at first sight. Our absolute favorite Dahlia among this year's new additions. A soft burgundy-pink shade, the petals are darker underneath, just like the center of the flower. It fits perfectly into weddings, where burgundy shades are trendy right now. We cut flowers like crazy and still ran short, so next year we plan a whole bed!

Our favorite burgundy Dahlia! It doesn't stop for a moment; it's covered in blooms all season long. We have a whole bed and can't cut fast enough. We use it mostly for weddings, where similar colors are trendy right now. The flowers are medium-sized, averaging 10 cm, but sometimes smaller pieces can be found, perhaps for bolder wreaths.

Dahlia Beatrice, Loukykvět

Dahlia

A ball Dahlia is a must-have in every cutting garden. At the same time, the most beautiful orange of all! We'd put our hand in the fire for this one! It does not belong among the tallest variants, the plants reach slightly above the knees, but it is still great for cutting. The shade is not as uniform as with Cornel Brons; when finishing blooming, it lightens beautifully to a light apricot.

Dahlia Wine Eyed Jill, Loukykvět

Dahlia

Love at first sight for everyone! Definitely on the list of the 10 most popular; it gets cut so much that it's a problem to find enough flowers to photograph. We don't grow many multi-colored varieties, but in this case, we have to admit that the combination of pink, powder, and burgundy can never be wrong! It can't be combined with every color, but for wedding work, it is an absolutely genius piece!
