Rdesno Speciosa k vám dorazí jako krásně prokořeněná sazenice, kterou můžete ihned vysadit na trvalé stanoviště. Této nenáročné dlouhověké trvalce se bude nejlépe dařit na slunci nebo v polostínu. Vzhledem k jejímu původu z vlhkých horských luk vyžaduje dostatek vláhy. Ideální je pro ni těžší, hlinitá nebo jílovitá půda, která je dobře propustná, ale zároveň si dokáže udržet vlhkost. Nezapomeňte zeminu obohatit o kvalitní kompost, aby byla dostatečně humózní. Pokud máte na zahradě sušší místa, raději se jim vyhněte, nebo počítejte s nutností pravidelné a vydatné zálivky. Vhodným řešením je také mulčování, které pomůže udržet potřebnou vlhkost v půdě.
Při samotné výsadbě dodržujte spon 50 až 70 centimetrů, což odpovídá zhruba třem až pěti rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Rdesno totiž postupně vytvoří statné trsy dorůstající výšky 100 až 120 centimetrů a potřebuje kolem sebe dostatek životního prostoru pro dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu. Rostlina je sice mimořádně odolná a potěší vás tím, že netrpí na naprosto žádné choroby ani škůdce, ale správný rozestup přesto podpoří její celkovou vitalitu. Ačkoli je rdesno poměrně vysoké, má pevné stonky a nevyžaduje žádnou oporu. Karmínově růžová květenství se objevují od července až do října a jsou velkým lákadlem pro včely a další opylovače. Pokud rádi tvoříte kytice, neváhejte květy stříhat do vázy, vydrží tam velmi dlouho.
Během sezóny spočívá péče převážně v zajištění dostatku vody. Můžete rostlinu bez obav pěstovat i ve velkých nádobách nebo prostorných truhlících na terase. V takovém případě ale dbejte na to, aby substrát nikdy zcela nevyschl, a zároveň zajistěte odtok přebytečné vody, aby nedošlo k uhnívání kořenů. Nádobové rostliny také ocení pravidelné přihnojování tekutým hnojivem. Na podzim, jakmile udeří první mrazy, nadzemní část rostliny přirozeně odumře. Suché stonky můžete seříznout těsně nad zemí ještě před zimou, nebo je ponechat na záhonu do jara. Rdesno je plně mrazuvzdorné až do -28 °C, ale v prvním roce po výsadbě doporučujeme kořeny chránit vrstvou listí nebo chvojí, aby měla mladá sazenice čas se bezpečně adaptovat.

Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

It has a semi-double pure white flower, often with inner twisted petals, and compact, strictly upright growth. The flowers are very durable.
