Rdesno JS Misty Morning vnáší do záhonů nezaměnitelnou lehkost a romantickou atmosféru pozdního léta. Původní druh pochází z vlhkých horských luk Himalájí, což předurčuje jeho nároky i v zahradě. Miluje humózní, hlinité a nevysychající půdy na slunci nebo v polostínu, kde dokáže vytvořit hustý a zapojený porost, skrze který neproroste téměř žádný plevel. Tato statná a dlouhověká trvalka dorůstá výšky kolem jednoho metru a je cenná především pro svou neuvěřitelně dlouhou dobu kvetení, která trvá od července až do prvních mrazů. Klasovitá květenství kultivaru JS Misty Morning mají jemný, světle růžový odstín, který v ploše působí jako ranní mlha nad loukou. Rostlina je doslova magnetem pro včely a další opylovače. Pěstování rdesna JS Misty Morning je radost, protože jde o vitální a dlouhověkou trvalku, která se vám za minimální péči odmění záplavou květů. Jelikož jste obdrželi již zapěstovanou sazenici, odpadá složité předpěstování a můžete ji rovnou vysadit na trvalé stanoviště. Výběr místa je klíčový – rdesno pochází z vlhkých horských luk, proto mu vyberte stanoviště na slunci nebo v polostínu, kde půda nikdy úplně nevysychá. Ideální je zemina humózní, hlinitá, klidně i těžší jílovitá, která dobře drží vláhu. Suchým a písčitým místům se vyhněte, nebo je musíte masivně vylepšit kompostem a zajistit pravidelnou zálivku.
Samotná výsadba je jednoduchá. Vykopejte jámu o něco větší, než je kořenový bal sazenice, a na dno přidejte kvalitní zahradnický substrát nebo kompost. Sazenici zasaďte tak hluboko, jak rostla v květináči, přihrňte zeminou a důkladně zalijte. Pokud vysazujete více rostlin, dodržujte spon 50–60 cm (přibližně 3–5 rostlin na m²). Rdesno se postupně rozroste do šířky a vytvoří hustý porost, skrze který neproroste téměř žádný plevel, což vám v budoucnu ušetří práci s pletím. Díky pevným stonkům dorůstajícím až 110 cm rostlina nepotřebuje žádnou oporu a neláme se ani ve větru.
Co se týče péče během sezóny, nejdůležitější je voda. Rdesno miluje vlhko (v parametrech má dvě kapky 💧💧), takže v horkých letních dnech na slunném stanovišti vyžaduje pravidelnou a vydatnou zálivku. Pokud rostlině zajistíte dostatek vláhy, odvděčí se vám nepřetržitým kvetením od července až do prvních mrazů. Hnojení není striktně nutné, pokud máte úrodnou půdu, ale jarní přídavek kompostu nebo organického hnojiva podpoří bujný růst. Skvělou zprávou je, že tento kultivar je prakticky imunní vůči chorobám a netrpí na škůdce, takže nemusíte používat žádnou chemii.
Přezimování je u této trvalky bezproblémové. Mrazuvzdornost sahá až k -28 °C (zóna 5a), takže v našich podmínkách bezpečně přečká zimu bez zakrývání. Zpětný řez proveďte až brzy na jaře, kdy odstraníte celou nadzemní část těsně nad zemí, aby uvolnila místo pro nové výhony. Pokud zvažujete pěstování v nádobě, je to možné, ale náročnější na zálivku. Musíte zvolit velký a hluboký květináč, aby zemina nevysychala, a v létě zalévat denně. Vzhledem k výšce kolem jednoho metru volte těžší nádobu, která se nepřevrhne.

This species of sage originally comes from the steppe regions of Central and Eastern Europe. It forms profusely flowering small clumps with straight upright stems. In flower beds, it looks best in groups. Traditionally, due to the identical flowering time, it is planted as a companion to roses. However, it will look just as good in mixed drought-loving steppe plantings with grasses. It lasts 7 days in a vase. The cultivar Caradonna stands out with a long flowering period and dark, almost black-purple stems with tiny purple flowers and dark purple bracts. If we cut it back after flowering, it will bloom again in late August and September.
