The Camelot Lavender foxglove is a classic rustic plant that will bring a touch of wild nature to your garden. This originally native species of Central Europe naturally grows in clearings, moist meadows, and light forest edges. In your garden, it will do best in partial shade or in the sun with ordinary and slightly moist soil. It is a short-lived perennial. You will receive from us a grown seedling in a pot, which you just need to transplant into the flower bed with a spacing of about forty centimeters. In the spring, the plant sends up strong stems over a meter high. In May and June, it is covered with tubular flowers in a soft lavender shade, which reliably attract bees and bumblebees. Foxglove is very undemanding for growers, does not suffer from pests, and can handle even severe frosts. In a suitable spot, it reliably self-seeds, so it will last for many years in the flower bed. Just remember that all parts of the plant are poisonous. It is perfectly suited for bouquets as well, where the tall stems stay fresh in a vase for six to eight days.

Pěstování tohoto nádherného náprstníku zvládne i naprostý začátečník. Protože vám dodáme již silnou a vzrostlou sazenici, vyhnete se složitému pěstování ze semen a můžete rovnou přistoupit k výsadbě. Ideální místo pro náprstník je v polostínu nebo na slunci, kde není příliš horko. Půda by měla být propustná, hlinitá a schopná udržet mírnou vlhkost. Sazenici umístěte do jamky tak, aby měla kolem sebe dostatek místa, doporučený spon je 40 centimetrů. Rostlina se vám odmění mohutným růstem a v dospělosti dosáhne výšky až 120 centimetrů. Velkou výhodou je, že u tohoto kultivaru se nemusíte obávat žádných škůdců ani houbových chorob, rostlina je vůči nim přirozeně odolná.
Péče o náprstník během kvetení v červnu a červenci je velmi nenáročná. Rostlina potřebuje střední zálivku, takže ji zalévejte pravidelně, ale dbejte na to, aby nestála v blátě.
- Hnojení a přesévání: Na jaře prospěje přidání odleželého kompostu. Pokud chcete, aby se rostlina na stanovišti udržela i do dalších let, nechte několik odkvetlých stonků na záhonu. Náprstník se totiž velmi ochotně přesévá.
- Řez do vázy: Květy jsou nádherné a ve váze vydrží čerstvé až osm dní. Vždy ale používejte rukavice, protože rostlina je jedovatá.
- Opora: Pevné stonky jsou velmi stabilní a nevyžadují vyvazování.
Před příchodem zimy není nutná žádná složitá příprava. Náprstník je plně mrazuvzdorný do -28 °C. Jediné, co přízemní růžice zelených listů ocení, je stínění před ostrým zimním sluncem pomocí několika větví chvojí. Chtěli byste tuto krásku obdivovat na balkóně? Pěstování v květináči nebo objemném truhlíku je možné, pokud zajistíte nádobu s dobrou drenáží a propustnou hlinitou půdu. Počítejte však s tím, že rostliny v nádobách jsou více závislé na vaší péči. Během léta budou vyžadovat častější zálivku a pravidelný přísun tekutých hnojiv, aby měly dostatek síly pro bohatou násadu květů.

The Goldsturm cultivar grows to a height of about seventy centimeters and does not need support. From August to October, it produces a flood of golden-yellow flowers with distinctly dark centers. These edible flowers attract pollinators and fit perfectly into both prairie and rustic plantings. Rudbeckia is also great for cutting, lasting around ten days in a vase. In addition, the distinctive dark centers can be easily dried. If you leave them in the flower bed over the winter, they will provide a wonderful spectacle.

The charming gaura comes from the sun-drenched plains of Texas and Louisiana and represents exactly the plant that can liven up any drought-tolerant planting. It is a naturally profusely blooming perennial that delights in full sun and well-drained, sandy, and nutrient-poor soil. You will receive from us an already grown seedling in a pot, which will quickly form a vigorous clump after being transplanted into the garden. From early summer until late autumn, it will delight you with a flood of tiny flowers in pure white and delicate pink tones. The flowers gently sway in the breeze and with their appearance resemble a flock of tiny butterflies, which also really like to land on the plant, as do bees and bumblebees. Although gaura is known as a short-lived perennial, thanks to its willing self-seeding, it will last for many years in your garden. Caring for it is completely undemanding, it is avoided by most diseases and pests, and it can handle frosts down to eighteen degrees below zero without any problems. It is often used in mixed borders, where it beautifully softens the overall impression, and perfectly matches various types of ornamental grasses.
