Thermopsis Sunrise
The bright yellow flowers of the Thermopsis 'Sunrise' will brighten up your garden as early as late May, when striking raceme inflorescences appear on its sturdy stems. In appearance, it slightly resembles the well-known lupine, but unlike it, it is an exceptionally long-lived and hardy perennial. It naturally grows on open slopes and mountain meadows in Asia, which is why it will do best in full sun or light partial shade in well-drained loamy soil. From the supplied mature potted seedling, a rich clump reaching up to eighty centimeters in height will quickly grow after transplanting into the flowerbed. The plant develops a very strong root system, which helps it survive drought and severe frosts without difficulty. These deep roots even excellently stabilize the soil, so Thermopsis is often used in slope and anti-erosion plantings. During flowering, bees and other beneficial insects gather around the plant, for which it is a sought-after food source. The 'Sunrise' cultivar requires no special care, is avoided by diseases and pests, and will bring joy even to complete beginners. It fits perfectly into colorful perennial beds, and its long, sturdy stems are perfect for cutting into a vase, where they create a beautiful spring detail.

Although it is a short-lived perennial, it will make up for everything with its incredible persistence in blooming. Unlike other avens, the Totally Tangerine variety starts its blooming season a little later, but in return, it will delight you without a break from May to September. The semi-double flowers also gradually transition into a deep salmon to dark peach color and are a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. In a flowerbed, it functions excellently as a filler plant, nicely connecting other perennials with its neutral structure.
You will also enjoy the blooming avens at home. It is excellently suited for cutting into summer bouquets. It is an absolutely undemanding plant that is not bothered by diseases or pests, so its cultivation can be easily handled even by complete beginners. It comfortably withstands severe frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees Celsius.
In the garden, hyssop finds wide application. It fits perfectly into steppe-character gravel beds and beautifully complements roses or lower ornamental grasses. During the summer until early autumn, the Roseus variety will delight you with a flood of tiny flowers in a delicate light pink shade. Vlčinec je zcela nenáročná trvalka pro slunná místa s běžnou zahradní půdou, která spolehlivě nahradí choulostivější druhy. Z dodané vzrostlé sazenice vám rychle vyroste mohutný trs, proto pro ni vyberte slunné nebo polostinné stanoviště, kde bude mít dostatek prostoru. Ideální je běžná hlinitá zemina. Rostlina si tvoří velmi bohatý a hluboký kořenový systém, díky kterému se skvěle hodí i pro zpevňování svahů. Při výsadbě dodržujte spon padesát až šedesát centimetrů, což odpovídá dvěma až třem rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Takto velký rozestup zajistí dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu a rostliny si nebudou konkurovat.
Po zasazení do volné půdy sazenici pravidelně zalévejte, dokud plně nezakoření. Následně jí vyhovuje mírná vlhkost, dospělá rostlina si díky hlubokým kořenům dokáže vodu dobře najít sama. Zjara můžete přidat běžné organické hnojivo, ale vlčinec není na živiny nijak náročný. Přestože v dospělosti dosahuje úctyhodné výšky kolem sto třiceti centimetrů, má velmi pevné stonky a nevyžaduje žádnou oporu. Během května a června se můžete těšit na záplavu citrónově žlutých květů. Vzhledem k mohutnému kůlovému kořeni a celkové výšce je dlouhodobé pěstování v nádobách poměrně složité.
