Dodanou sazenici vysazujte ideálně na slunné stanoviště, ale pamatujte, že v zahradě poroste nejlépe na vlhčích místech s dostatkem slunce. V horkém létě bude ráda za odpolední stín stromů nebo vyšších keřů. Půdu vyžaduje hlubokou, na živiny bohatou, ideálně humózní, hlinitou nebo jílovitou, která dobře zadržuje vodu. Protože v dospělosti tvoří mohutné trsy dorůstající výšky až dvou metrů, dodržujte při výsadbě velkorysý spon kolem 100 centimetrů. Tento prostor zajistí rostlině dostatečnou cirkulaci vzduchu a ačkoli rostlina přirozeně netrpí vůbec žádnými chorobami ani škůdci, dostatek prostoru podpoří její celkovou vitalitu a pevnost stonků, které tak nebudou vyžadovat žádnou oporu.
Základem úspěchu během sezóny je pravidelná a vydatná zálivka, protože sadec miluje vlhko a půda by nikdy neměla zcela vyschnout. Zadržování vláhy můžete podpořit vrstvou mulče z kompostu, který zároveň poslouží jako skvělé hnojivo. Pro kompaktnější růst můžeme stonky sadce na přelomu května a června o třetinu až polovinu zakrátit. Tento zpětný řez rostlinu nejen zpevní, ale také oddálí kvetení, čímž prodloužíte atraktivitu záhonu do pozdního léta. Od července do září vás pak rostlina odmění nádhernými purpurovými květy, které jsou obrovským lákadlem pro včely a motýly. S příchodem zimy nevyžaduje sadec nachový žádnou speciální ochranu, protože je extrémně mrazuvzdorný a bez problémů snese teploty klesající až k -34 °C. Na podzim rostlinu rozhodně nestříhejte. Suchá struktura pevných stonků a odkvetlých květenství vytvoří na zahradě nádherný zimní efekt, obzvláště když se na nich zachytí jinovatka nebo sníh. Celý trs seřezávejte těsně nad zemí až brzy na jaře, než začnou rašit nové výhony.

Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

The Czech Perennial Association chose autumn Anemones as the perennial of the season for 2022. They last 7 days in a vase. Whirlwind is a historical variety bred in 1887 in the USA. It has a semi-double pure white flower, often with inner twisted petals, and compact, strictly upright growth. The flowers are very durable.
