Phlox 'Minnehaha' stands up well even in competition with the root systems of shrubs and in slight shade. The flower color transitions from gentle reddish-purple to pale pink. Color saturation gradually decreases towards the center with a small red eye. Long flowering period from June and often until September.

Cultivation
Výběr správného stanoviště je pro Flox Minnehaha prvním krokem k záplavě květů. Této trvalce se nejlépe daří na slunném místě nebo v lehkém polostínu, kde bude mít dostatek světla pro tvorbu pestrých růžovofialových květů. Na rozdíl od jiných druhů plamenek snese Phlox amplifolia i mírnou konkurenci kořenů okolních keřů, přesto se vyhněte úplnému zastínění, které by vedlo k vytahování stonků a slabšímu kvetení. Půdu připravte důkladně – měla by být humózní, hlinitá a dobře propustná, aby se v ní nedržela voda, která by mohla způsobit uhnívání kořenů, ale zároveň nesmí příliš rychle vysychat. Před výsadbou sazenice doporučujeme do půdy zapravit vyzrálý kompost, který dodá potřebné živiny pro start.
Sazenice vysazujeme do sponu přibližně 50 cm od sebe (cca 4–6 rostlin na m²). Tento rozestup je zásadní nejen pro budoucí rozrůstání rostliny, která v dospělosti dosahuje výšky 90 až 110 cm, ale především jako prevence houbových chorob. Dostatečná cirkulace vzduchu mezi trsy pomáhá předcházet padlí, což je bílý povlak na listech, na který mohou být floxy náchylné. Po výsadbě rostliny důkladně zalijte. Vláha je pro tento druh klíčová, zejména v horkých letních dnech. Zalévejte ideálně ráno a vždy přímo ke kořenům, nikoliv na list, abyste minimalizovali riziko šíření chorob. Mulčování kolem rostliny pomůže udržet vlhkost v půdě a potlačí růst plevele.
Během vegetační sezóny od června do září vás flox potěší svou vůní a barvami. Pro prodloužení doby kvetení je vhodné pravidelně odstraňovat odkvetlá květenství, což podpoří tvorbu nových poupat a rostlina tak může zdobit záhon až do časného podzimu. Vzhledem k tomu, že jde o vysokou trvalku, může v otevřených, větrných polohách vyžadovat oporu, i když tento druh má stonky poměrně pevné. Na jaře každoročně přihnojte plným hnojivem nebo kompostem. Pozor si dejte na slimáky a plzáky, kteří si rádi pochutnávají na mladých listech, zejména na jaře při rašení.
Co se týče zimování, Flox Minnehaha je plně mrazuvzdorný (až do -34 °C) a v našich podmínkách nevyžaduje žádnou speciální zimní ochranu. Na podzim, když rostlina zatáhne a stonky uschnou, je můžete sestřihnout těsně nad zemí, nebo tento úkon ponechat až na jaro, kdy suché části odstraníte před novým rašením. Pokud byste chtěli pěstovat tuto rostlinu v nádobě, je to možné, ale volte velký a hluboký květináč. V nádobách půda rychleji vysychá a promrzá, proto je nutné dbát na velmi pravidelnou zálivku a na zimu nádobu raději obalit izolací nebo ji zapustit do země.

It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

This species of sage originates from the steppe regions of Central and Eastern Europe. It forms profusely flowering small clumps with straight, upright stems. In flower beds, it looks best in groups. It is traditionally planted as a companion to roses due to the matching flowering time. However, it looks equally good in mixed drought-tolerant steppe plantings with grasses. It is an excellent food source for bees. Lasts 7 days in a vase. Amethyst is an elegant variety with long stems and a pink flower color that is unusual for sages.

Fernleaf Yarrow originates from the Caucasus and Central Asia. Unlike Common Yarrow, it grows in clumps and is also suitable for drying. Cutting back soon after flowering encourages re-blooming. However, if you decide to leave the spent stems in the beds, you gain a perfect structure that remains impressive long into winter. The leaves of this species emit a typical bitter Yarrow aroma. It lasts 10 days in a vase.
