Striking bright pink flowers with a purple hue make it an impressive dominant feature of perennial beds. It is popular for its vigorous growth, resistance to fungal diseases, and long flowering period.

The original home of Bleeding Hearts is Korea and China, where they grow in light deciduous forests. They are classic garden perennials. They look perfect in nostalgic flower beds, and the white variety fits well into naturalistic woodland gardens. They are popular for their heart-shaped flowers hanging on horizontal or arching stems. Some time after flowering, these weaken and die back; all the plant's strength concentrates in the roots, and at that point, we can cut the above-ground part back completely. Cultivation
Pro úspěšné pěstování floxu 'Tecumseh' je naprosto klíčový výběr správného stanoviště. Tato trvalka, dorůstající výšky 80 až 100 cm, nejlépe prospívá na slunném místě nebo v lehkém polostínu. Přestože miluje slunce, které podporuje bohaté kvetení a intenzivní vůni, ocení ochranu před nejpalčivějším poledním úpalem, který by mohl popálit listy. Půda by měla být ideálně hlinitá, bohatá na humus a především dobře propustná, avšak schopná udržet vlhkost. Před samotnou výsadbou sazenice doporučujeme půdu hluboce prokypřit a obohatit vyzrálým kompostem, který dodá potřebné živiny pro start.
Při výsadbě dbejte na dodržení dostatečného rozestupu, takzvaného sponu, který by měl činit přibližně 50 cm. Floxy totiž potřebují kolem sebe prostor pro dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu. To je ta nejlepší přirozená prevence proti houbovým chorobám, jako je padlí, na které mohou být floxy náchylné, ačkoliv kultivar 'Tecumseh' vykazuje vyšší přirozenou odolnost. Sazenici zasaďte tak hluboko, jak rostla v kontejneru, a po výsadbě ji důkladně zalijte. Pokud plánujete pěstování v nádobách, zvolte opravdu velký a hluboký květináč s drenážní vrstvou, protože v malém objemu zeminy by rostlina rychle vysychala a trpěla stresem.
Během vegetace, zejména v horkých letních měsících, kdy rostlina kvete, je nezbytná pravidelná zálivka. Vždy zalévejte přímo ke kořenům a snažte se nenamáčet listy, čímž opět snížíte riziko vzniku padlí. Na jaře rostlinu podpořte plným hnojivem pro trvalky a na podzim můžete přihrnout kompost. Pozor si dejte na slimáky, kteří si rádi pochutnávají na mladých výhonech. Odkvetlá květenství průběžně odstraňujte, podpoříte tím násadu nových květů a prodloužíte dobu kvetení, nebo si je nařežte do vázy, kde vydrží až deset dní.
Flox 'Tecumseh' je plně mrazuvzdorná trvalka (až do -34 °C), takže naši zimu zvládá bez problémů a nevyžaduje speciální zimní ochranu, pokud nepěstujete rostlinu v nádobě – tam je vhodné obalit květináč jutou nebo polystyrenem. Na jaře pak staré stonky jednoduše odstraníte a uvolníte místo novým rašícím výhonům.
