Statice QIS Pastel, Loukykvět
For drying

Limonium sinuatum

Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. QIS Pastel is a beautiful sample of colors in tones of blue, violet, lavender and pink. One plant produces at least 15 stems. For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Cosmos Apricot Lemonade, Loukykvět

Cosmos bipinnatus

Cosmos 'Apricot Lemonade' brings a novel palette of colors to summer gardens and is easy to grow from seed, even if you are a complete beginner. While these annuals were previously known mostly in white and pink, this cultivar surprises with delicate pastel tones of peach, yellow, and powder pink. It won us over immediately and has become an indispensable part of our flower plantings. The plant forms dense clumps with typical linear leaves and grows quite tall, so it benefits from support in the flower bed. From early summer until October, it is covered in a profusion of gentle flowers that soften every space and provide food for beneficial pollinators. If you like creating your own bouquets, you will be thrilled, as they look absolutely magical in a vase. The ideal time for sowing begins in April with indoor starting, or you can sow directly in a sunny spot from May to July.

If you plan to harvest for cut flowers, allow the stems to lignify and harvest in the morning.

Cosmos Apricotta, Loukykvět

Cosmos bipinnatus

Cosmos are an absolute classic and a matter of the heart for us! In the past, we cut them by hundreds of stems on the farm and our customers, especially brides, literally loved them for their lightness and elegance. While common cosmos mainly offer a white and deep pink palette, 'Apricotta' brings a completely new and fresh color tone to the flowerbeds. It is a unique combination of light pink and the lightest salmon, which looks incredibly tender and original. The flowers have a silky appearance and gently sway in the wind, which adds pleasant dynamics to the garden.

Vaccaria Pink Beauty, Loukykvět

Saponaria vaccaria

Saponaria vaccaria, or cow soapwort 'Pink Beauty', is a reliable annual that brings a romantic and airy element to summer flower beds. It easily makes up for its unconventional name with a rich profusion of tiny, pastel-pink flowers that bring a sense of lightness to the garden. These appear on sturdy stems sixty to ninety centimeters tall during the summer months, from June to September. The delicate flowers not only look beautiful and soften the surrounding plantings, but they also act as a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, which will naturally enliven your garden. For healthy growth, cow soapwort appreciates a bright location, but it can grow in light shade without any problems. It looks very elegant in the garden, and thanks to its structure—reminiscent of baby's breath—it combines perfectly with more robust types of flowers, for which it makes a delicate background. You can confidently cut three to four richly branched stems from each plant. They will bring great joy even if you simply place them in small vases in your living room. Cow soapwort grows and blooms very quickly from seeds, which in practice means that it also fades a bit faster. If you want to enjoy its delicate pink flowers in the bed and in the vase for as long as possible, it is worth sowing the seeds in stages. You can perform direct sowing from February to May in several consecutive phases. Even complete beginners can thus have fresh cut flowers available throughout the season.

Nigella Midnight, Loukykvět

Nigella papillosa

Nigella damascena Midnight is an elegant annual that attracts attention with its unconventional flowers. Originally from the sunny regions of the Mediterranean and North Africa, it thrives best in sunny or semi-shaded locations. The Midnight cultivar stands out with its deep, dark purple to plum-toned flowers, which reach a size of about five centimeters. Together with its delicate green foliage, it creates a beautiful texture in the garden. The plant grows to a height of fifty to one hundred centimeters and has an airy appearance in the flowerbed, although it appreciates a little support for bushier clumps. You will love Nigella not only in the garden but also for creating bouquets. Its dark purple flowers look absolutely stunning in a vase and stay fresh for a long time. It is also valuable to florists after it has finished blooming, as it produces very decorative seed pods that are easy to dry and fit well into winter dried arrangements and wreaths. Whether you let it stand out next to light-colored annuals or incorporate it into wild, naturalistic plantings, it is guaranteed to liven up any corner.

It grows to a height of about one meter, forms beautifully sturdy stems, and blooms from June until October, constantly attracting bees and butterflies. Nigella Delft Blue, Loukykvět

Nigella papillosa

The Delft Blue variety is one of the most interesting Nigella cultivars. It brings the relaxed atmosphere of a country garden to your flower beds while requiring almost no care. It thrives in full sun or partial shade, preferring standard, well-draining soil. From spring through summer, blooms in soft tones of white, violet, and plum open above a canopy of fresh green leaves. Although they do not contain fragrant oils, they reliably attract bees and butterflies. Growing from seeds is fast and ideal even for absolute beginners. Nigella tolerates transplanting from pre-grown seedlings, but it also responds excellently to direct sowing right into the bed during the spring or late summer months. Throughout the summer, you can continuously cut the sturdy stems for fresh bouquets or leave them to fully mature. The resulting seed pods are perfect for drying and using in winter decorations.

A soft burgundy-pink shade, the petals are darker underneath, just like the center of the flower. It fits perfectly into weddings, where burgundy shades are trendy right now. We cut flowers like crazy and still ran short, so next year we plan a whole bed!

Dahlia White Perfection, Loukykvět

Dahlia

'White Perfection' is a representative of giant decorative dahlias, whose flowers reach up to 26 centimeters in size. They open in a perfectly pure white color without any other undertones, and thanks to strong, perfectly straight stems, they always face straight ahead. A real workhorse! Planting Cornel Brons is a safe bet! The regular ball-shaped flowers are a rich brick orange color. Our plants reach up to our shoulders, covered in a flood of flowers. Dahlia Wine Eyed Jill, Loukykvět

Dahlia

Love at first sight for everyone! Definitely on the list of the 10 most popular; it gets cut so much that it's a problem to find enough flowers to photograph. We don't grow many multi-colored varieties, but in this case, we have to admit that the combination of pink, powder, and burgundy can never be wrong! It can't be combined with every color, but for wedding work, it is an absolutely genius piece!

Dahlia Beatrice, Loukykvět

Dahlia

A ball Dahlia is a must-have in every cutting garden. At the same time, the most beautiful orange of all! We'd put our hand in the fire for this one! It does not belong among the tallest variants, the plants reach slightly above the knees, but it is still great for cutting. The shade is not as uniform as with Cornel Brons; when finishing blooming, it lightens beautifully to a light apricot.
