Divizna Honey Dijon je okouzlující trvalka, která vnese do vaší zahrady hřejivé tóny pozdního léta. Původní druhy divizen běžně rostou na slunných a suchých stanovištích, často na kamenitých nebo písčitých půdách. Proto i tato vyšlechtěná kráska ocení přímé slunce a dobře propustnou, spíše chudší zeminu, kde se jí bude nejlépe dařit. Zaujme především svými jedinečnými květy v meruňkových, hořčicových a broskvových odstínech, které se objevují od června do srpna. Tyto netradiční pastelové barvy nádherně kontrastují se stříbřitě šedozelenými listy. Tvoří vzpřímené stonky dorůstající výšky kolem půl metru, díky čemuž nepotřebuje žádnou oporu. Skvěle zapadne do suchomilných stepních záhonů po bok okrasných trav a dalších slunomilných rostlin. Její květy jsou navíc velkým lákadlem pro včely a další opylovače. Tato krátkověká trvalka se výborně hodí k řezu do letních kytic, kterým dodá úžasnou vertikální strukturu, pro sušení ji však nevyužijete. Přestože jde o kratší dobu žijící rostlinu, dodáváme ji jako silnou vzrostlou sazenici v květináči, která se po přesazení na záhon rychle uchytí a brzy vás potěší bohatým kvetením. Zcela jistě vás potěší i fakt, že květy jsou jedlé a můžete jimi ozdobit své oblíbené kulinářské výtvory.

Sazenice divizny Honey Dijon vysazujte na plné slunce, kde plně vynikne její krása a bude se jí nejlépe dařit. Pro úspěšné pěstování je klíčová propustná, písčitá až kamenitá půda, která je spíše chudší na živiny. Těžkým, jílovitým a trvale mokrým půdám se rozhodně vyhněte, kořeny by v nich rychle zahnívaly. Při výsadbě na záhon dodržujte spon 40 až 50 centimetrů, což odpovídá zhruba 4 až 6 rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Tento dostatečný rozestup zajistí dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu a podpoří zdravý růst nápadných stříbřitě šedozelených listů. Sazenice nevyžadují po zakořenění žádnou oporu, protože tvoří pevné a vzpřímené stonky dorůstající výšky kolem půl metru.
Zálivka by měla být spíše mírná a opatrná. Divizna patří mezi suchomilné rostliny a jakmile se sazenice na stanovišti dobře uchytí, velmi úspěšně zvládá i letní sucha. Hnojení není vůbec nutné, v na živiny bohatých půdách rostlina spíše trpí, ztrácí svůj kompaktní tvar a její stonky se mohou nepřirozeně vytahovat. Velkou výhodou této trvalky je její vynikající zdravotní stav. Během léta můžete odstřihávat odkvetlé výhony, čímž rostlině odlehčíte a podpoříte tvorbu nových meruňkových a hořčicových květů, které intenzivně lákají včely a další opylovače.
Tato konkrétní odrůda je takzvaná krátkověká trvalka, proto je dobré počítat s tím, že její přirozená životnost na záhoně je omezená na několik málo sezón. Je však plně mrazuvzdorná až do -25 °C, takže naše běžné zimy zvládá naprosto bez problémů. Přes zimu nevyžaduje speciální krytí z chvojí, ale je naprosto nezbytné, aby nestála v zimním vlhku. Pokud nemáte na zahradě vhodný suchý záhon, můžete diviznu bez obav pěstovat i v nádobách a truhlících. V takovém případě nezapomeňte na dno květináče umístit silnou drenážní vrstvu z keramzitu nebo štěrku a použijte lehký propustný substrát smíchaný s pískem. I v nádobě zalévejte velmi opatrně a vždy až ve chvíli, kdy zemina zcela proschne.

Fernleaf Yarrow originates from the Caucasus and Central Asia. Unlike Common Yarrow, it grows in clumps and is also suitable for drying. Cutting back soon after flowering encourages re-blooming. However, if you decide to leave the spent stems in the beds, you gain a perfect structure that remains impressive long into winter. The leaves of this species emit a typical bitter Yarrow aroma. It lasts 10 days in a vase.
