The original species come from dry pastures and stony slopes, so it is used to more modest conditions. It thrives best in full sun in well-drained sandy soil. This rather short-lived perennial is ideal for steppe areas together with fine drought-tolerant grasses and other perennials, to which it adds an interesting height. During May and June, it blooms on stems over one meter high. The White Domino variety has unusually large and pure white flowers, which makes it an elegant element of the garden. The flowers additionally reliably attract bees and butterflies. It is a plant that does not suffer from diseases or pests and overwinters easily. Besides growing in a flowerbed, it is great for summer bouquets. Této rostlině se bude nejlépe dařit na horkém a plně slunečném místě. Půdu vyžaduje sušší, dobře propustnou a ideálně písčitou nebo štěrkovitou. Vyhněte se těžké a přemokřené zemině, kde by mohly uhnívat kořeny. Sazenice sázejte do sponu 40 cm, což vychází na 6 až 7 rostlin na metr čtvereční. Větší rozestupy zajistí dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu. Rostlina je zcela bez chorob a bez škůdců, takže nevyžaduje žádné chemické ošetřování a pěstování hravě zvládne i úplný začátečník bez předchozích zkušeností.
Zálivka by měla být spíše střídmá. Divizna je suchomilná, takže jí stačí přirozené srážky, a to i během teplejších letních dnů. Přihnojování není nutné, v chudší půdě si lépe udrží svůj kompaktní tvar a pevné stonky, které dorůstají do výšky 100 až 120 cm a nepotřebují žádnou oporu. Během května a června se můžete těšit na čistě bílé květy, které spolehlivě přitahují včely i motýly. Sea holly is an indispensable perennial for all lovers of naturally styled gardens. It earned its folk name - male fidelity - in times when it was used in herbal medicine as an aphrodisiac, and its roots were even candied as sweets in France and England. Today, however, you will appreciate it mainly for its low maintenance and unique appearance. The pale coneflower is one of the exceptionally interesting prairie perennials of the North American continent. In its natural environment, it grows on open, sunny plains, which is why it thrives best in our gardens in full sun in drier, well-drained soil. You just need to transplant this grown seedling straight into the flower bed, where it will reliably take root. It does not need support, easily withstands severe frosts, and is avoided by common diseases and pests, making it ideal for beginner growers. During June and July, it will reward you with aromatic flowers with unusually narrow and drooping petals in light purple and pink tones. The Goldsturm cultivar grows to a height of about seventy centimeters and does not need support. From August to October, it produces a flood of golden-yellow flowers with distinctly dark centers.
