Zlatavé květy třezalky kalíškaté spolehlivě rozzáří zahradu během celého léta až do podzimu. Tento polokeř pochází z horských oblastí Balkánu, kde si zvykl na rozmanité přírodní podmínky. Výborně snáší přímé slunce, ale prosperuje i v polostínu nebo úplném stínu, kde se jiným rostlinám nedaří. Má ráda propustnou hlinitou nebo písčitou půdu a průměrnou zálivku. Z dodané zakořeněné sazenice rychle vyroste kompaktní rostlina o výšce kolem třiceti centimetrů. Při výsadbě třicet až čtyřicet centimetrů od sebe brzy vytvoří zapojený porost. Výrazné žluté květy jsou během léta plné opylovačů a včel. Pro floristy nenabízí květy vhodné do vázy, její hlavní role leží v trvalkových výsadbách a jako půdopokryvný podrost pod keři. Oporu nepotřebuje, škůdců se bát nemusíte a spolehlivě odolá mrazům do minus třiadvaceti stupňů. Někdy se na listech může objevit rez. Na záhonu vytvoří i pohledný zimní efekt. Protože jde o jedovatou rostlinu, je na místě opatrnost, pokud zahradu sdílíte s domácími mazlíčky.

The largeleaf brunnera comes from the moist mountain forests of the Caucasus, where it forms dense undergrowth. It is an ideal perennial for shady and semi-shady corners of your garden, where it will thrive in humus-rich, moist soil. You only need to avoid permanent drought; otherwise, it is an exceptionally undemanding and long-lived perennial. Třezalka kalíškatá je mimořádně přizpůsobivý polokeř, se kterým dosáhnou skvělých výsledků i naprostí začátečníci. Jelikož vám dodáme již kvalitně zakořeněnou sazenici, můžete se rovnou pustit do výsadby na trvalé stanoviště. Zvládne téměř jakékoliv světelné podmínky – od horkého slunného místa přes polostín až po chladné stinné místo pod korunami stromů, kde se jiné zeleni nedaří. Pro úspěšné pěstování jí dopřejte propustnou, hlinitou nebo písčitou půdu. Pokud máte na zahradě příliš těžkou zeminu, doporučujeme ji před výsadbou vylepšit pískem nebo drobným štěrkem. Sazenice sázejte na vzdálenost třiceti až čtyřiceti centimetrů od sebe, což odpovídá zhruba pěti až osmi rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Díky tomuto sponu se porost rychle zapojí a vytvoří hustý půdopokryvný koberec, který nedá šanci plevelům.
Co se týče zálivky, třezalka vyžaduje spíše průměrnou a pravidelnou vláhu. Hned po výsadbě a během prvních týdnů dbejte na to, aby půda nevyschla, než rostlina pořádně prokoření. Později si již s běžnými srážkami většinou poradí sama, přesto v období dlouhých letních veder zálivku uvítá. Tuto rostlinu můžete s velkým úspěchem pěstovat i v nádobách nebo prostorných truhlících na terase. Při pěstování v květináči nezapomeňte na kvalitní drenážní vrstvu na dně a odtokový otvor, protože rostlina nesnáší přemokření. Substrát v nádobě vysychá rychleji než volná půda, proto zalévejte častěji. Na jaře je vhodné třezalku podpořit přidáním vyzrálého kompostu nebo běžného vícesložkového hnojiva, což zajistí bohatou násadu výrazně zlatavých květů. Ty od července do září přilákají množství včel a dalších užitečných opylovačů.
Během sezóny třezalka nevyžaduje žádnou složitou péči ani oporu, jelikož si drží kompaktní výšku kolem dvaceti až čtyřiceti centimetrů. Vyniká vysokou mrazuvzdorností a bez problémů zvládne teploty až do minus třiadvaceti stupňů. Na záhonu navíc zanechává velmi pohledný zimní efekt, takže vaši zahradu ozdobí i v chladných měsících. Na jaře doporučujeme provést radikální zpětný řez, při kterém polokeř seříznete těsně nad zemí. Tento krok rostlinu omladí, podpoří hustší růst a funguje jako výborná prevence proti rzi, která se občas může na zelených listech objevit. Jiných chorob ani škůdců se u ní bát nemusíte, je vůči nim přirozeně odolná. Při plánování výsadby však mějte na paměti jeden důležitý fakt – celá rostlina je jedovatá. Pokud tedy zahradu sdílíte s domácími mazlíčky, vyberte jí takové místo, kde nebude lákat k okusování.

Macedonian scabious is an abundantly and long-blooming, undemanding perennial that will bring the untamed charm of summer meadows to the garden. Its wild form originates from the sun-drenched Balkans, where it naturally grows on sunny hillsides and in warm thickets. You will receive from us a mature seedling in a pot, which just needs to be transplanted into well-drained loamy or sandy soil in the sun or partial shade. Here it will quickly take root and form a vigorous clump. The Red Knight cultivar enchants with slender stems up to ninety centimeters tall, which all summer from June to September carry a flood of dark burgundy to deep wine-red flowers. These edible flowers act as a huge attraction for bees, bumblebees, and other insects. The plant is an ideal choice for beginners because it reliably resists frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees and does not suffer from any pests or diseases. Although it belongs to short-lived perennials, in a suitable place it gladly self-seeds. It will fit perfectly into naturalistically designed plantings with ornamental grasses and is popularly used in sweeping meadow bouquets. We recommend cutting the flowers fully open; they will then stay beautifully fresh in a vase for several days.

Perovskia are sparsely branched subshrubs, originating from areas ranging from Afghanistan to Tibet. They grow in open, sunny, rocky, and stony habitats. Their white-felted shoots and grayish aromatic leaves are striking. They fit well in sunny flower beds with other drought-loving perennials, where they create interesting structures even in the winter months. Little Spire is a smaller cultivar suitable even for pots with a soil volume of 7 liters or more.
