Dahlia

Dahlia David Howard

This Dahlia is reliability itself—it blooms profusely. A soft shade of orange. And if you want a Dahlia for the garden just for the pleasure of looking at it, you've come to the right place. Mainly because of the flood of dark burgundy-green foliage reaching up to the waist, in which the flowers stand out beautifully. When it blooms to full opening, the center is dark burgundy to black, so it's a double win. Show full description

Sunflower ProCut White Lite, Loukykvět

Helianthus annuus

Sunflower comes from the sunny plains of North America and is an inseparable part of our gardens as a symbol of summer. The 'ProCut White Lite' variety brings a pleasant refreshment to the yellow assortment in the form of creamy light yellow flowers with an attractive greenish-yellow center. This is a reliable single-stem annual from a professional series bred specifically for floral purposes. It does not produce pollen, so you can use it in interior decorations without worrying about allergies. In the garden, it grows to a height of eighty to one hundred and twenty centimeters. The path to your own flowers begins with seeds, which are easy to work with and provide quick results. Ideally, start the sunflower seeds by pre-growing them in the warmth for one to two weeks. Covered seeds will germinate in five to ten days. Then, transplant them into sun or partial shade. You can repeat sowings from April to August, which will cause them to bloom gradually from July to autumn. Do not pinch the plants, but provide support for straight stems. Fresh flowers last a long time in a vase and will delight lovers of clean bouquets.

Cornflower Tall Double Blue Boy, Loukykvět

Centaurea cyanus

The blue cornflower is an absolute classic of our fields and meadows, which probably needs no lengthy introduction. However, the 'Tall Double Blue Boy' variety brings something extra. Compared to its wild relatives that we see along roads, it boasts rich flowers in an unmistakable, deep blue shade, sometimes with a purple tone. You can hardly imagine anything more meadow-like. Thanks to its strong stems growing up to eighty centimeters tall, this annual is perfectly suited for cutting, adding true rustic charm to bouquets. But its use doesn't end in the vase. The flowers keep their fantastic color even after drying! At weddings, we loved using them in flower crowns and corsages, where they have excellent stamina! The petals are edible. They serve perfectly as an original garnish for summer salads, desserts, or festive cakes. Moreover, in the garden, it functions as a reliable magnet for bees and bumblebees, who simply go crazy for its nectar.

Cosmos Apricotta, Loukykvět

Cosmos bipinnatus

Cosmos are an absolute classic and a matter of the heart for us! In the past, we cut them by hundreds of stems on the farm and our customers, especially brides, literally loved them for their lightness and elegance. While common cosmos mainly offer a white and deep pink palette, 'Apricotta' brings a completely new and fresh color tone to the flowerbeds. It is a unique combination of light pink and the lightest salmon, which looks incredibly tender and original. The flowers have a silky appearance and gently sway in the wind, which adds pleasant dynamics to the garden.

Our favorite foliage and filler. It grows beautifully and binds famously! The flowers are yellowish, so they don't color-match every bouquet, but we still never have enough of it! It grows to a height of between fifty and one hundred centimeters, making it easy to create an eye-catching structure in the flower bed. These original, inflated seed pods are a sought-after material for florists. Fresh flowering stems beautifully liven up summer bouquets in a vase, while the dried pods perfectly complement autumn decorations, as they retain their shape for a long time.

Cornflower Tall Double Red Boy, Loukykvět

Centaurea cyanus

Everyone knows classic field cornflowers, but the 'Tall Double Red Boy' variety brings a completely different spectacle to the garden. It is a very unusual shade of deep raspberry, which we fell in love with immediately after one plant accidentally bloomed among our blue cornflowers last year. The richly double flowers measure approximately four centimeters in diameter and grow on stems up to eighty centimeters tall. The silvery gray-green foliage gives the whole composition a delicate look that beautifully softens the surrounding planting. The raspberry cornflower stands out best in natural-looking flower beds, where it pairs perfectly with ornamental grasses, daisies, or white-flowering annuals. Throughout the summer, it serves as a plentiful feast for bees and bumblebees. Lovers of fresh arrangements love using it in colorful summer bouquets, where its unconventional color immediately catches everyone's eye. It works just as well for drying into dry decorations that will remind you of warm days even during the cold months. Moreover, it is a plant with edible flowers, which you can easily use to decorate festive cakes or summer drinks.

Zinnia elegans

Zinnia 'Cresto Peachy Pink' brings a refreshing palette of colors full of cool tones to summer flower beds. Growing this charming annual from seeds is ideal even for complete beginners. The plants grow to a height of sixty to ninety centimeters, and occasional pinching will benefit them with richer branching. In the garden, they form beautiful combinations with delicate ornamental grasses or other annuals in similar tones. Zinnia also acts as a reliable magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It grows to a height of about one meter, forms beautifully sturdy stems, and blooms from June until October, constantly attracting bees and butterflies. Peony Red Sarah Bernhardt, Loukykvět

Paeonia

Peonies are valuable in gardens for their large and impressive flowers. They are long-lived perennials for patient gardeners. It takes them several years to grow to full beauty and before you see abundant flowering. Therefore, a blooming peony the very first year after planting is rather an exception, definitely not the rule. To bloom, it needs the right conditions in addition to time. Study our growing guide. Herbaceous garden peonies are one of the longest-bred garden plants, and most cultivars have their origins in Chinese and medicinal peonies, which have long been part of monastery gardens. Today we combine them with perennials, grasses, and bulbs. However, we always give them enough space in the flowerbed. It would seem that Red Sarah Bernhardt is simply a red variant of its pink-flowering namesake. In reality, these two peonies do not have much in common, and the red shade is closer to fuchsia tones. Red Sarah Bernhardt is simply a bit of a mystery; we only know that it was registered in 1980 in China. Its flowers are double and fragrant.

Dahlia Lavender Perfection, Loukykvět

Dahlia

The flowers are giant, in shades of light lavender-pink that fades at the tips of the petals. The petal shape gives it a quite unique look. Since the tips aren't pointed, but rather rounded and elongated into a long teardrop shape, it looks quite princess-like. A perfect piece for weddings!
