Slézovec Burgundy Wine je nádherná, rychle rostoucí rostlina, kterou od nás obdržíte jako již zapěstovanou sazenici, což vám ušetří čas a zajistí dřívější kvetení. Aby se jí u vás dařilo, vyberte pro ni co nejslunnější stanoviště. Tato rostlina doslova miluje teplo a přímé sluneční paprsky. Půda by měla být především výborně propustná, spíše hlinitá až písčitá a klidně i chudší na živiny. Těžké a přemokřené jílovité půdy slézovci nesvědčí, protože v nich kořeny v zimě snadno uhnívají. Pokud máte na zahradě těžkou zeminu, je nezbytné do výsadbové jámy přimíchat písek nebo drobný štěrk pro zlepšení drenáže.
Při výsadbě do volné půdy pamatujte na to, že jde o bujně rostoucí rostlinu, která může dosáhnout výšky 1,5 až 2 metry. Dodržujte proto spon alespoň 75 cm (přibližně 1 až 2 rostliny na metr čtvereční), aby měl keř dostatek prostoru a vzduchu. Dobrá cirkulace vzduchu je důležitá i jako prevence proti houbovým chorobám, jako je rez, ke které může být rostlina náchylná. Zálivku vyžaduje slézovec spíše mírnou. Jedním z klíčových aspektů pěstování v našich podmínkách je zimování. Slézovec je mrazuvzdorný pouze do cca -10 °C až -12 °C (zóna 8b). V teplejších oblastech republiky může přežít venku, pokud je vysazen na chráněném místě (například u jižní zdi domu) a na zimu mu dopřejete důkladnou přikrývku kořenů vrstvou mulče, listí nebo chvojí. V chladnějších oblastech se však chová spíše jako krátkověká trvalka nebo se pěstuje jako přenosná rostlina. Velmi důležitý je jarní řez. Rostlinu na jaře (nikoliv na podzim) hluboce seřízněte na výšku asi 20–30 cm nad zemí. Tento radikální zásah podpoří tvorbu nových silných výhonů a zajistí bohatou násadu vínových květů.
Velmi oblíbenou variantou je pěstování ve velké nádobě. Zvolte květináč o průměru alespoň 40 cm s drenážními otvory a na dno dejte vrstvu keramzitu. V nádobě máte kontrolu nad substrátem a hlavně můžete rostlinu před prvními silnějšími mrazy snadno přemístit do bezmrazé, chladné a světlé místnosti (např. zimní zahrada, garáž s oknem), kde bezpečně přečká zimu. Během sezóny nezapomeňte pravidelně odstraňovat odkvetlé květy, čímž výrazně prodloužíte dobu kvetení až do podzimu. Pozor dejte na škůdce, jako jsou mšice nebo svilušky, které se mohou objevit zvláště v horkém a suchém počasí.

It will look great among roses or in naturally designed steppe flowerbeds, where it naturally complements lower ornamental grasses. Additionally, both the blue flowers and green leaves are edible, so you can use them to garnish summer dishes. Lesser calamint is also excellently suited for cutting into smaller fresh bouquets, adding a fine structure to them in a vase.

Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

It has a semi-double pure white flower, often with inner twisted petals, and compact, strictly upright growth. The flowers are very durable.
