Tickseed El Dorado is a reliable and undemanding perennial that brings a bright golden color to summer beds. The original tickseed species come from the sunny and drier prairies of North America, so even in your garden it will appreciate full sun and well-drained loamy soil. This cultivar was created by crossing whorled and lobed tickseeds, taking the best from both parents. Unlike many new but often short-lived hybrids, El Dorado is characterized by great vitality and longevity. It forms dense clumps growing up to seventy centimeters tall, which bloom tirelessly from July to September and reliably attract bees and butterflies. The plant is perfectly suited for mixed perennial beds, where it beautifully complements ornamental grasses. With the arrival of autumn, it will surprise you, as its green leaves turn beautiful red shades. You can cut the flowers on their sturdy stems for summer bouquets; they stay fresh in a vase for about a week. It is a trouble-free seedling that does not suffer from diseases or pests and easily handles frosts. Growing it is therefore easily managed even by a complete beginner.

Tato dlouhověká trvalka pochází z prérií, a proto bude nejšťastnější na plném slunci. Pro úspěšné pěstování jí dopřejte propustnou a hlinitou půdu, kde se nebude zdržovat přebytečná voda. Při výsadbě dodržujte spon zhruba 40 až 50 centimetrů, což odpovídá pěti až sedmi rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Tento prostor zajistí sazenicím dostatek místa pro vytvoření hustých trsů a dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu. Krásnoočko je navíc naprosto bezproblémové, netrpí na žádné běžné choroby ani škůdce, takže péči o něj hravě zvládne i úplný začátečník.
Během sezóny vás krásnoočko potěší svou nenáročností na zálivku. Jakmile sazenice dobře zakoření, bez problémů snese i delší období sucha. Pokud se rozhodnete pěstovat tuto zářivou rostlinu v nádobě nebo prostorném truhlíku na terase, pamatujte na pravidelnější zalévání a kvalitní drenážní vrstvu na dně květináče. V omezeném prostoru nádoby bude také vděčné za občasné přihnojení běžným hnojivem pro kvetoucí trvalky. Na zahradě si vystačí s živinami z půdy, případně můžete na jaře přidat trochu uzrálého kompostu.
Aby vás rostlina těšila záplavou zlatavých květů od července až do září, vyplatí se průběžně odstraňovat odkvetlé stonky. Tento jednoduchý krok podpoří tvorbu nových poupat a prodlouží dobu kvetení. Květy na pevných stoncích, které dorůstají výšky 50 až 70 centimetrů, nepotřebují žádnou oporu a jsou skvělé k řezu. Ve váze vám vydrží svěží přibližně týden. S příchodem podzimu se zelené listy začnou barvit do atraktivních červených odstínů. Na zimu nevyžaduje krásnoočko žádnou speciální ochranu, je totiž plně mrazuvzdorné až do -28 °C. Suché nadzemní části můžete seříznout až brzy na jaře, než začne rostlina znovu rašit.

Calamint Blue Cloud
Lesser calamint Blue Cloud is an undemanding and modest perennial that reliably perfumes any sunny garden. Its original homeland is the sunny and dry slopes of Southern Europe, which is why it thrives best here in direct sun in well-drained, sandy, or poorer loamy soil. It handles winter without problems, tolerating frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant straight into the flowerbed, where it will very soon form a compact, airy small shrub reaching a height of up to forty centimeters. It does not suffer from any diseases or pests, so even complete beginners can easily handle caring for it. Throughout late summer and into autumn, it blooms with a record number of tiny blue flowers that are so typical of the Blue Cloud variety. The whole plant emits a pleasant minty-spicy scent, and its flowers, which resemble thyme, act as a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look great among roses or in naturally designed steppe flowerbeds, where it naturally complements lower ornamental grasses. Additionally, both the blue flowers and green leaves are edible, so you can use them to garnish summer dishes. Lesser calamint is also excellently suited for cutting into smaller fresh bouquets, adding a fine structure to them in a vase.

Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

The Czech Perennial Association chose autumn Anemones as the perennial of the season for 2022. They last 7 days in a vase. Whirlwind is a historical variety bred in 1887 in the USA. It has a semi-double pure white flower, often with inner twisted petals, and compact, strictly upright growth. The flowers are very durable.
