An undemanding and long-lived perennial, originally from moist prairies. It creates upright and sturdy tall clumps. Thanks to its fine foliage, however, it does not appear unnecessarily massive. The flowers are about 5 cm in diameter, the petals are bright yellow, and the center is chocolate brown. Due to its stature, it is suitable for the background of flower beds and larger areas.

Úspěšné pěstování začíná správným výběrem stanoviště pro vaši novou sazenici. Krásnoočko trojkřídlé jednoznačně vyžaduje slunné a teplé místo, kde jeho citrónově žluté květy naplno vyniknou. Nejvíce mu vyhovuje hlinitá a dobře propustná půda. Při výsadbě pečlivě dodržujte doporučený spon zhruba 80 centimetrů, což znamená výsadbu jedné až tří rostlin na metr čtvereční. Tento velký rozestup je nesmírně důležitý, protože rostlina dorůstá impozantní výšky 150 až 200 centimetrů a potřebuje kolem sebe dostatek volného prostoru pro svůj zdravý růst. Přestože je takto vysoká, její stonky jsou přirozeně velmi pevné a nevyžadují žádnou umělou oporu, což vám ušetří spoustu práce a času při celkové údržbě vašeho rozkvetlého záhonu.\n\nZ hlediska nároků na vodu a živiny jde o velmi přizpůsobivý druh, který je vhodný i pro naprosté začátečníky. Toto krásnoočko potřebuje propustnou, ale nepříliš suchou půdu na slunci. Po čase, když se plně adaptuje snese i kratší suchá období. Pravidelnou zálivku tak ocení především těsně po výsadbě, než sazenice spolehlivě zakoření. Následně si většinou vystačí s běžnými dešťovými srážkami. Obrovskou výhodou pro každého pěstitele je fakt, že tato rostlina zcela odolává škůdcům i chorobám. Nemusíte se tak bát obávaného padlí ani invaze mšic. Jde o naprosto bezúdržbovou trvalku, která se nešíří samovýsevem a zůstává spořádaně růst v kompaktním trsu přesně na tom místě, kam jste ji zasadili.\n\nBěhem léta můžete pevné stonky s květy hojně využívat k řezu do vázy, kde vydrží velmi dlouho svěží a krásné. Odstřiháváním navíc stimulujete rostlinu k dalšímu bohatému kvetení a přilákáte tak na zahradu další včely a motýly. S příchodem podzimu se o krásnoočko nemusíte nijak strachovat. Rostlina nabízí úžasný zimní efekt, takže doporučujeme stonky se suchými semeníky nechat přes zimu stát na záhoně. Vytvoříte tak zajímavou strukturu a pomůžete i drobnému ptactvu. Samotný zpětný řez odumřelých částí proveďte až brzy na jaře. Trvalka je plně mrazuvzdorná do úctyhodných -34 °C, takže bez nejmenších problémů přečká i ty nejkrutější mrazy v zóně 4a.\n\nPokud uvažujete o pěstování krásnoočka v nádobě na terase, máme pro vás dobrou zprávu – je to reálné, i když to vyžaduje trochu více pozornosti. Pro tuto obří dlouhověkou trvalku musíte zvolit masivní, široký a hluboký květináč. Ideální je umístit ho do závětří, aby se do mohutné rostliny neopřel silný vítr a celou nádobu nevyvrátil. Použijte velmi kvalitní zahradnický substrát smíchaný s hrstí písku pro lepší propustnost. Vzhledem k omezenému prostoru bude nutné rostlinu v horkých letních měsících častěji zalévat, protože půda v nádobách vysychá nepoměrně rychleji než ve volné zemi. Zároveň pamatujte na dobrý odtok vody, aby kořeny sazenice ve vlhku neuhnily.
