Geranium clarkei

Cranesbill Kashmir White

Geranium 'Kashmir White' is an enchanting perennial that will bring softness and tranquility to the garden. It comes from mountain meadows and forest edges in the regions of the Himalayas and Kashmir. From there, it is adapted to harsher conditions; it is an unusually resilient plant that easily survives frosts dropping to minus twenty-eight degrees. You will receive a well-rooted seedling in a pot from us, which just needs to be transplanted straight into the flower bed. It thrives best in the sun or partial shade, in well-drained and humous soil. It grows to fifty centimeters and grows compactly, so it does not need support. The 'Kashmir White' cultivar is decorated during the summer with pure white flowers that contrast beautifully with the deep green leaves. It is excellently suited for the edges of flower beds or as undergrowth beneath taller shrubs. During blooming, it acts as a lure for bees and bumblebees. It is an undemanding long-lived plant avoided by pests and diseases. It is not suitable for cutting into a vase or drying; it will bring you the most joy naturally growing in the garden. Show full description

Dahlia

Dahlia Café Au Lait is an absolute icon among dahlias and unrivaled as the best-selling item on our farm. Its huge flowers, often reaching the size of a dinner plate, cannot be overlooked. The color is completely unique and changeable, ranging in soft shades of creamy white, milky coffee, and powder pink, occasionally with a hint of salmon. Thanks to this specific coloring, it is loved by all brides and florists, as it fits perfectly into wedding bouquets and magnificent arrangements. In a vase, it looks majestic, and even a single flower can light up an entire room. In the garden, this variety forms a dominant element that attracts attention at first glance. The plants grow to a respectable height, often over a meter and a half, so it is advisable to provide them with support so they do not break under the weight of the massive blooms. Cimicifuga japonica

Japanese bugbane brings freshness to the shady corners of the garden. In its homeland, it grows in the shady mountain valleys of Japan, which is why it is best suited to partial shade to full shade and moister, loamy, humous soil here. From the mature potted seedling you receive, a reliable and long-lived perennial will grow, which even beginners can handle. It does not require complex care, does not suffer from diseases or pests, and can withstand even severe frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees. However, the entire plant is poisonous. It decorates flowerbeds not only with white flowers but also with striking dark green leaves. In spring, it needs plenty of space and time to sprout. Ideally, you can combine it with early bulbs that will fill the empty space. From August to September, it creates upright inflorescences full of tiny flowers, which are excellent for cutting into late summer bouquets. The 'Silver Dance' cultivar grows to a height of eighty centimeters, stands out with its compact growth, and blooms truly very long and tirelessly.

Thalictrum aquilegiifolium

Columbine meadow-rue is a charming perennial that looks like a fluffy colored cloud in the garden. Its species name refers to the striking resemblance of its leaves to columbines; they are finely divided, grayish-green, and very decorative even before flowering. Originally, this species grows in moister open forests and meadows of Europe and Asia, which is why it will also thrive in your garden in humus-rich and non-drying soil in full sun or partial shade. In June and July, the plant drapes itself in a veil of tiny blossoms, consisting mainly of conspicuous clusters of stamens without petals. These fluffy inflorescences in shades of lilac and light pink attract a multitude of pollinators and bees. Thanks to its height, which can exceed one meter, it is perfectly suited for the background of perennial beds, to which it adds lightness, height, and airiness. The flowers are also excellent for cutting into a vase, where they stay fresh and act as a delicate filler material. It is a long-lived and completely frost-resistant plant suitable even for beginners; you just need to keep in mind that it is poisonous.

Ajuga reptans

Creeping bugleweed is a rewarding and undemanding perennial that inhabits moister deciduous forests and meadows across Europe in the wild. Thanks to its ability to spread quickly using above-ground runners, it creates dense carpets that effectively suppress weed growth and cover bare spots in the undergrowth of trees or shrubs. The Rosea cultivar differs from the original wild species with its delicate, light pink flower spikes, which appear from April to June. Even though it is not suitable for cutting into a vase, it will make a great show in the garden and serve as a valuable source of nectar for bees and bumblebees in the spring period. The plant is fully frost-resistant and its evergreen leaves decorate the bed even during winter, which you will appreciate during periods without snow cover.

Alchemilla mollis

Alchemilla mollis, known as lady's mantle, is an indispensable perennial for anyone who wants to bring harmony and softness to the garden. Its home is the moister environments of mountain meadows and light forests, making it a very adaptable plant that will survive even severe frosts without problems in our climate. The 'Irish Silk' cultivar is prized for its vitality and abundant blooming, where clouds of tiny, yellow-green flowers float above clumps of gray-green leaves. It is precisely this neutral color that can work wonders in a flower bed – it softens overly sharp contrasts between other flowers and beautifully unifies the entire composition. Besides its ornamental function, lady's mantle also has practical uses. Thanks to its clumping growth and ability to quickly fill in, it is ideal for edging pathways or as an underplanting beneath taller shrubs and roses. Water droplets catch on its leaves, creating a magical spectacle in the garden. If you enjoy making bouquets, you will love lady's mantle as versatile filler greenery that matches almost anything. It will last beautiful for about ten days in a vase, and its inflorescences can also be easily dried without losing too much of their color or shape. Moreover, it is a magnet for pollinators, and its young leaves are even edible, so it also finds use in a natural kitchen.

Dicentra spectabilis

The original home of bleeding hearts is Korea and China, where they grow in light deciduous forests. They are classic garden perennials. They will look perfect in nostalgically styled flower beds; the white variant fits well even into naturalistic woodland gardens. They are popular for their heart-shaped flowers hanging on horizontal or arching stems. These weaken and die back some time after flowering; all the plant's energy then concentrates in the roots, and at that moment, we can cut the above-ground part back completely. For the rest of the year, we won't even know the bleeding heart is in the garden. It will remind us of its charm again in the spring. Perfect vase life, at least 7 days. Harvest when the first 3–4 flowers open on the stem. The basic species has pink-white flowers. In spring, the sprouting shoots have a pink tinge.

Geranium cantabrigiense

Cambridge cranesbill is a very hardy hybrid of native mountain species, bringing enormous vitality and adaptability to our gardens. It grows best in sunny or partially shaded spots in well-drained loamy soil, where it can quickly form continuous carpets of aromatic green leaves. Moreover, these leaves do not drop in milder winters, giving you a green flower bed all year round. It is an exceptionally undemanding perennial that even beginner growers can easily handle. The plant does not suffer from any diseases or pests and easily withstands harsh frosts dropping to minus twenty-eight degrees. In garden design, it acts as an absolutely reliable ground cover perennial that naturally prevents weed establishment thanks to its dense growth. It stands out beautifully in the front lines of perennial beds, along pathways, or as an undergrowth beneath taller shrubs and trees, where other plants often struggle. From May to July, upright stems bearing tiny flowers rise above the carpet of leaves. You can add the flowering stems to fresh summer bouquets, giving them lightness and an interesting texture. You will receive directly a strong and grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to carefully transplant into the garden and watch as it gradually spreads. If you keep the recommended spacing of thirty centimeters, your flower bed will soon be beautifully filled out. The Berggarten variety is popular among growers precisely for its ability to form exceptionally dense stands and maintain a compact shape. Another great advantage of this cultivar is the vibrant color of its flowers, which transitions from deep pink to purple. With an overall height between twenty-five and thirty-five centimeters, it will fit into any space and become a completely maintenance-free yet very prominent feature of your planting.

Paeonia

Peonies are valuable in gardens for their large and impressive flowers. They are long-lived perennials for patient gardeners. It takes them several years to grow to full beauty and for you to see abundant flowering. Therefore, a blooming peony in the very first year after planting is more of an exception, certainly not the rule. Besides time, it needs the right conditions to flower. Check out our growing guide. Herbaceous garden peonies are one of the longest-bred garden plants, and most cultivars originate from Chinese and medicinal peonies, which have long been part of monastery gardens. Today, we combine them with perennials, grasses, and bulbs. However, we always give them plenty of space in the flowerbed. Red Charm has full, rich, and large flowers in a deep red shade. Potted peonies can be planted from spring to autumn.

Cultivation

Přestože rostlina pochází z drsnějších horských oblastí Himálaje a snese leccos, v těžké, jílovité a přemokřené půdě by mohla v zimních měsících trpět a uhnívat. Výsadbu proto doporučujeme provádět do předem pečlivě zkypřené zeminy obohacené o kvalitní uleželý kompost, který rostlině dodá všechny potřebné živiny pro úspěšný start a rychlé zakořenění.
Při samotné výsadbě dodržujte spon 30 až 40 centimetrů, což odpovídá zhruba sedmi až devíti rostlinám na jeden metr čtvereční. Při tomto uspořádání mají rostliny dostatek prostoru pro zdravý vývoj a zajištěnou dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu. Kakost roste velmi kompaktně do výšky kolem čtyřiceti až padesáti centimetrů a nepotřebuje tak žádnou dodatečnou oporu, což vám ušetří spoustu práce a starostí.
Po hlavní vlně kvetení můžete rostlinu dokonce lehce seříznout, čímž podpoříte růst nových, svěžích listů a celkově zvýšíte její vitalitu do konce sezóny.

Eryngium planum

Sea holly is an indispensable perennial for all lovers of naturally styled gardens. It earned its folk name - male fidelity - in times when it was used in herbal medicine as an aphrodisiac, and its roots were even candied as sweets in France and England. Today, however, you will appreciate it mainly for its low maintenance and unique appearance. Its home is on sunny hillsides and dry meadows, so even in our gardens, it will welcome well-drained, even poorer sandy soil and full sun. It produces upright, sturdy stems topped with blue-purple flowers with prickly bracts, which bring interesting structure and a silvery touch to the flowerbeds. It is literally a magnetic plant for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies, who find a rich food source on it. Floristically, it is extremely valuable, because its flowers are perfectly suited for cutting as well as drying for winter decorations. If you decide not to harvest it, feel free to leave it in the flowerbed all winter. Its silhouette covered in hoarfrost creates a wonderful winter effect. Although it is a short-lived perennial, in a suitable location it reliably self-seeds, so you will enjoy its beauty for many years.
