Cultivation
Pěstování této vytrvalé bylinky zvládne i úplný začátečník, protože vám dorazí již krásně vzrostlá sazenice v květináči. Nemusíte se tak trápit složitým výsevem, rostlinu stačí jen přesadit. Vyberte pro ni místo na plném slunci, kde se jí bude dařit úplně nejlépe. Půda by měla být ideálně hlinitá nebo písčitá, a hlavně velmi dobře propustná, protože kořeny nesnášejí trvalé přemokření. Pažitka nejlépe poroste v dostatečně výživné, ale ne čerstvě pohnojené a kypré půdě. Při samotné výsadbě dodržujte spon zhruba 25 centimetrů. Tento prostor je důležitý pro budoucí rozrůstání aromatických trsů a pro správnou cirkulaci vzduchu mezi rostlinami. Během krátké doby se sazenice ujme a začne vytvářet hustý, svěže zelený porost.
Pažitka pobřežní je plně jedlá a mimořádně chutná, takže se stane oblíbenou součástí vaší kuchyně. Pro udržení rostliny v perfektní kondici doporučujeme dodržovat následující postupy:
- Lístky pravidelně seřezávejte pro kulinářské využití, tato drobná péče výrazně zvyšuje vitalitu celého trsu a zajišťuje neustálý přísun čerstvé nati.
- V létě poctivě odstraňujte odkvetlé růžové a fialové výhony, abyste prodloužili estetický dojem a podpořili další růst bylinky.
- Zálivku udržujte jen mírnou, pažitka si mnohem lépe poradí s občasným suchem než s neustále mokrou půdou.
- Velkou výhodou tohoto druhu je jeho imunita, rostlina netrpí chorobami a přirozeně se jí vyhýbají i škůdci.
Mnoho našich zákazníků se ptá, zda lze tuto bylinku pěstovat i mimo klasický záhon. Odpověď zní jednoznačně ano! Pěstování v květináčích nebo truhlících je velmi snadné a populární. Zásadním pravidlem je použití propustného substrátu a nádoby s odtokovým otvorem. Na dno květináče vždy nasypte vrstvu štěrku pro dokonalou drenáž. Při pěstování v nádobě vyžaduje rostlina o něco častější zálivku než na zahradě. Blížící se zima nepředstavuje pro tuto trvalku žádný problém. Spadá totiž do zóny mrazuvzdornosti 5a, což znamená, že bez jakéhokoliv zazimovávání hravě přečká teploty padající až k hlubokým mrazům kolem -28 °C.
