Pěstování tulipánu Rosy Diamond je skvělou volbou pro každého začátečníka, který touží po jarní záplavě pastelově růžových květů. Základem úspěchu je výběr správného stanoviště. Rostlině se nejlépe daří na slunci nebo v polostínu. Zásadní je propustná a humózní půda. Tulipány nesnášejí dlouhodobé přemokření, které by mohlo vést k hnilobě, proto je dobré do těžších půd přimíchat trochu písku pro lepší odvodnění. Správně zvolená půda je totiž prvním krokem k tomu, aby se vaší rostlině vyhnuly houbové choroby a cibule měly ideální podmínky pro zakořenění ještě před příchodem prvních mrazíků.
Cibule vysazujeme do záhonů na podzim, ideálně od září do listopadu. Pokud cibule nekoupíte těsně před výsadbou, skladujte je na chladném, suchém a temném místě. Samotná výsadba je velmi jednoduchá, cibule umístěte do hloubky 10 až 15 centimetrů. Pro vytvoření bohatého květinového koberce dodržujte spon 10 až 15 centimetrů, což odpovídá zhruba 50 až 70 cibulím na metr čtvereční. Takto hustá výsadba zajistí, že po vyrašení vznikne nádherně zapojený porost. Cibule sázejte vždy špičkou nahoru a po zasypání zeminou je mírně zalijte.
Během jarního růstu a kvetení v dubnu a květnu udržujte mírnou zálivku. Tento tulipán dorůstá výšky 30 až 45 centimetrů a díky silným stonkům nepotřebuje žádnou oporu. Je to také vynikající rostlina k řezu, takže si jaro můžete přinést i domů do vázy. Rostliny nikdy nezaštipujte. Po odkvětu je naprosto klíčové nechat zelené listy přirozeně zaschnout a zežloutnout, aby cibule stáhla zpět všechny živiny a nabrala sílu na další rok. Pokud byste listy odstranili předčasně, cibule by se oslabila.
Tulipán je extrémně mrazuvzdorný, bez problémů zvládne teploty až do -35 °C, takže jej přes zimu můžete s klidem nechat v záhonu bez složitého zazimování. Největším nebezpečím pro podzemní části jsou hraboši polní, kteří si na cibulích rádi pochutnají. Doporučujeme proto výsadbu do speciálních drátěných nebo plastových košů. Z chorob si dejte pozor na šedou hnilobu a virus mozaiky, kterým zamezíte vzdušnou výsadbou. Jedná se o krátkověkou trvalku, pro udržení bohatého kvetení je tedy vhodné po několika letech staré cibule obměnit za nové.

Tulip Apricot Parrot
We discovered parrot tulips recently and fell in love with them at first sight! The twisted leaves add new texture to bouquets and flower beds. They look most beautiful even when fading, when they grow to the size of a palm. You really only need a few to create a wonderful effect. Tulip Apricot Parrot with a white center and deep pink petal tips with a bit of green; at the start of flowering, the pink wonderfully hatches into apricot.
