You will receive a grown seedling from us, which will quickly take root after transplanting and form a subshrub with green leaves reaching a height of twenty to thirty centimeters. For ideal growth, we recommend keeping a spacing of about twenty-5 centimeters. It is a very hardy perennial that is not bothered by pests or diseases. It resists drought excellently and can handle even severe frosts, so any beginner can easily manage its care. At the beginning of summer, the thyme literally comes alive when a flood of pink flowers adorns it from June to July. The intense fragrance and nectar turn the small shrub into an attraction for pollinators. It fits perfectly into herb spirals or flowerbed borders. It responds well to pruning. The dry sprigs do not lose their distinct aroma and find use in cooking as well as an element in small floristic decorations.

Because of this, it is exceptionally resilient, easily handling frosts down to minus forty degrees, and can do without complex care. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant to a sunny location with well-drained loamy soil. The cultivar Royal Wedding will reward you in May and June with huge bowl-shaped flowers with pure white petals, which hide a distinct dark burgundy spot in their center. Moreover, these enchanting flowers reliably attract pollinators from far and wide. It is typical for Oriental poppies that their strikingly fuzzy green leaves die back soon after flowering. The plant takes a break over the warmest summer to gather strength, and a smaller portion of the leaves often sprouts again only at the end of summer. Therefore, it is ideal to plant the poppy in the flower bed in close proximity to other perennials that sprout slightly later and naturally fill the empty space left by the resting poppy. Thanks to this procedure, they will stay beautiful for about four days in a vase and add amazing lightness to bouquets. Although these delicate flowers are not suitable for drying, they simply have no competition in fresh spring bouquets.

It grows to a height of around 20 to 30 centimeters and forms neat clumps that spread slightly over time. Its lanceolate leaves are purely green, lacking the mottling of common lungworts, which can be an advantage for calmer compositions in the undergrowth of woody plants. This long-lived perennial is an ideal choice for beginners because it does not suffer from diseases or pests and excellently handles even severe frosts. Jelikož od nás obdržíte již vzrostlou sazenici, můžete ji rovnou vysadit na trvalé stanoviště. Tymián miluje slunce a horká stanoviště, proto mu vyberte to nejslunnější místo na zahradě. Půda by měla být chudá, suchá a velmi dobře propustná, ideální je písčitá nebo kamenitá. Vyhněte se těžké a mokré zemině. Při výsadbě dodržujte spon dvacet pět centimetrů, což odpovídá zhruba šestnácti rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Tento rozestup zajistí dostatečnou cirkulaci vzduchu kolem keříků a podpoří jejich zdravý růst.
Zálivku vyžaduje tato trvalka jen minimální. Po zakořenění skvěle zvládá sucho a zalévat stačí opravdu jen v období dlouhotrvajících veder. Zcela vynechte hnojení, protože v chudé zemině si bylinka tvoří nejvíce aromatických látek a udržuje si kompaktní tvar. Přemíra živin by naopak vedla k vytáhlému růstu a ztrátě chuti. Tymián je navíc neuvěřitelně odolný, takže vás potěší, že netrpí na žádné choroby a spolehlivě odolává škůdcům.
Řez je pro udržení pěkného vzhledu klíčový. Jakmile v červenci rostlina odkvete, ostříhejte její výhony zhruba o třetinu. Podpoříte tím opětovné zhoustnutí polokeře a zabráníte nechtěnému dřevnatění spodních částí. Tymián se výborně hodí i pro pěstování v nádobách a truhlících na balkonech. Pokud jej sázíte do květináče, nezapomeňte na dno nasypat silnou drenážní vrstvu a zeminu výrazně smíchat s pískem, aby mohla voda rychle odtékat.
Před příchodem zimy není třeba se bát nízkých teplot, rostlina bez problémů snese mrazy až do mínus třiadvaceti stupňů Celsia. Skutečným nebezpečím je pro ni ale přílišné zimní vlhko. V zahradě proto zajistěte, aby v okolí kořenů nestála tající voda. Pokud pěstujete tymián v nádobě, podložte ji, aby přebytečná voda mohla odtékat, nebo ji na zimu přesuňte na místo chráněné před vydatným deštěm a sněhem.

Dill
Dill is an indispensable annual whose fragrance belongs to summer. It originates from the Mediterranean and the Middle East, where it grows in sunny locations. In our gardens, it thrives best in direct sun in well-draining, humus-rich soil with moderate watering. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant directly to your chosen spot with a spacing of about forty centimeters. The plant grows to a height of fifty to one hundred centimeters. Dill appreciates slight shading of its roots, so it does excellently in mixed plantings together with vegetables and ornamental perennials. During the summer, it forms striking umbels composed of tiny yellow edible flowers. These are a strong attraction for beneficial insects and reliably attract pollinators. It is a completely undemanding plant for beginners, and it does not suffer from pests or diseases. You can use the sturdy stems for cutting into fresh summer bouquets, or you can easily dry them for floristry purposes. In suitable places, it will maintain itself through natural self-seeding.

Lemon balm
Lemon balm is an essential part of any herb garden, immediately enchanting you with its fresh lemon scent. It originally comes from the Mediterranean and Asia Minor, where it grows in sunny locations. In our climate, it will do great in ordinary loamy soil in full sun or partial shade. We send customers a grown seedling in a pot, which just needs to be transplanted directly into the flowerbed with a spacing of forty-five centimeters. It will soon form a vigorous clump reaching a height of up to eighty centimeters. The plant is completely undemanding to grow, easily handling severe frosts dropping even below thirty degrees, and does not suffer from diseases or pests. Furthermore, from June to August, tiny white little flowers appear on the stems, acting as a magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. The green leaves are fully edible and you can use them in refreshing drinks and soothing teas. For drying, collect them before blooming; that is when they have the most valuable essential oils. The long green stems have also found their place in floristry as a fragrant bouquet filler, and you can cut them practically anytime during the summer.
