Achillea millefolium

An original wild perennial with a large distribution area from Europe to Siberia. Suitable for natural and wild plantings. It grows in meadows and dry grassy places. Papaver orientale

The Oriental poppy originates from the Caucasus, Turkey, and Iran, where it grows on rocky slopes and dry meadows. It blooms with large bowl-shaped flowers on tall stems. Like all poppies, for use in bouquets, we harvest them as soon as the buds color up and "crack". Additionally, we briefly (for about 20 seconds) sear the ends of the stems with a flame and immediately place them in cold water. Then they last in a vase for 4 days. The strikingly hairy and large leaves die back shortly after flowering, and the plant must rest until spring to gather strength. A portion of the leaves sprouts again in late summer. Therefore, it is advisable to plant other perennials in close proximity that sprout later and can draw attention to themselves during the poppy's pause. Royal Wedding flowers have white petals with a dark burgundy spot in the center of the flower.

Phlox paniculata

Phlox is originally a perennial native to North America. It soon achieved great popularity in European gardens and has been systematically bred since the 19th century. It is a classic perennial for cutting into bouquets, where, in addition to colorful flowers, it also delights with a gentle fragrance. We harvest as soon as roughly half the flowers in the inflorescence have bloomed; then they last up to 10 days in a vase. Despite efforts to breed the most resistant cultivars, it remains true that Phlox reacts extremely sensitively to climate and soil conditions, so we carefully pay attention to the correct choice of site. The Sweet Summer series includes cultivars bred for greater resistance to fungal diseases. The Sweet Summer Dream cultivar impresses with warm pink flowers with a red eye. Its advantage is also compact growth.

Hellebores are evergreen perennials that form slowly spreading clumps of leathery, dark green leaves. The stems usually bear four to five flowers. Earlier, they tend to wilt and the stems cannot hold the flower in an upright position. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Baptisia australis

Baptisia comes from North America, belongs to the legume family, and resembles lupine in appearance. Unlike lupine, however, it does not suffer from fungal diseases and does not taste as good to slugs. Besides the blue flowers, the large pods that adorn the plant long after flowering are interesting. North American Indians used Baptisia roots to disinfect wounds and lower fever, and leaves to dye fabrics. With Baptisia, patience is most important; it takes some time to fully establish and create a massive root system adapted to survive long periods of drought and fire. Then it is very long-lived. It was chosen as the Perennial of the Year for the 2019 season.

Cultivation

Půdu vyžaduje hlinitou, humózní a dobře propustnou.
Půda by neměla nikdy zcela vyschnout.

Sanguisorba officinalis

Krvavec Tanna přináší do zahrady neopakovatelnou lehkost a eleganci divokých luk v úhledném balení. Přitahuje velké množství užitečného hmyzu a včel, takže s vysazením tohoto krvavce zvete do své zahrady i život.

Sanguisorba

Burnet is a native meadow plant that grows naturally in moist meadows. In the middle of summer, branched stems with tiny flower heads grow from the stand of pinnate leaves. In beds and bouquets, they create unusual shape and color accents. Great burnet is a vital plant for the scarce large blue butterfly. In the garden, it fits into naturalistic plantings with grasses and other perennials. It adds lightness and airiness to bouquets. It lasts 7 to 10 days in a vase. The garden cultivar Rock and Roll resembles the better-known variety Pink Tanna; the inflorescences are light old-pink and darken to light burgundy after fading. The clumps are firm and stable and bloom profusely.

Sanguisorba minor

Sanguisorba

This species of burnet comes from East Asia, growing in Korea and Japan in moist meadows and edges of light forests. They are tall, yet airy and delicate-looking perennials. In the garden, they fit into naturalistic plantings with grasses and other perennials. Their peculiarity is their elegantly drooping cylindrical inflorescences. They add lightness and airiness to bouquets. They last 7 to 10 days in a vase. Thanks to its height, it is great for the back of flower beds. Its fluffy, tasseled, and drooping flowers soften every perennial composition, as do the finely cut fresh green leaves. It can grow in partial shade, but cultivation in the sun guarantees upright and sturdier growth.

Earlier, they tend to wilt and the stems cannot hold the flower in an upright position. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Double Ellen White is an almost pure white, double-flowered hellebore.
