The cultivar Royal Wedding will reward you in May and June with huge bowl-shaped flowers with pure white petals, which hide a distinct dark burgundy spot in their center. Moreover, these enchanting flowers reliably attract pollinators from far and wide. It is typical for Oriental poppies that their strikingly fuzzy green leaves die back soon after flowering. The plant takes a break over the warmest summer to gather strength, and a smaller portion of the leaves often sprouts again only at the end of summer. Therefore, it is ideal to plant the poppy in the flower bed in close proximity to other perennials that sprout slightly later and naturally fill the empty space left by the resting poppy. Pro úspěšné usazení této impozantní trvalky vyberte stanoviště, kde bude mít dostatek slunečního svitu, případně lehký polostín. Krvavec Arnhem je původem luční rostlina, která přirozeně vyhledává vlhčí místa, proto se jí bude nejlépe dařit v hlinité až jílovité půdě, která dokáže dobře zadržovat vodu. Na rozdíl od mnoha jiných trvalek mu nevadí ani těžší půdy, pokud nejsou trvale podmáčené. Protože dorůstá úctyhodné výšky 180 až 200 cm, je vhodné myslet na dostatečný prostor kolem sebe. Při výsadbě dodržujte spon přibližně 50 cm, což odpovídá zhruba 4 až 5 rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Sazenice sázejte do úrovně terénu, dobře přitlačte zeminu kolem kořenového balu a ihned po výsadbě důkladně zalijte, aby se půda spojila s kořeny. Ačkoli je rostlina vysoká, její stonky jsou překvapivě pevné a ve většině případů nevyžadují oporu, pokud není stanoviště vystaveno extrémnímu větru.
Péče během vegetační sezóny je u tohoto kultivaru poměrně nenáročná a zvládne ji i úplný začátečník. Klíčovým faktorem je vláha; pokud by rostlina stála v příliš suché nebo písčité půdě, může trpět stresem a být náchylnější na padlí. V takovém případě pomůže rostlinu radikálně seříznout, následně obvykle znovu obrazí zdravými, svěže zelenými listy. Pravidelná zálivka je nutná především v horkých letních dnech, kdy půda rychle vysychá. Hnojení není nezbytně nutné, pokud je půda přiměřeně úrodná, ale jarní přídavek kompostu podpoří bujný růst a bohaté kvetení. Květy jsou vhodné k řezu do váz, kde vydrží déle než týden, a lze je i sušit. Pokud odkvetlá květenství neodstřihnete, vytvoří v zahradě krásný zimní efekt, kdy se na tmavých hlavičkách zachytává jinovatka.
Z hlediska přezimování je krvavec 'Arnhem' extrémně odolný, snáší mrazy až do -34 °C (zóna 4a), takže v našich podmínkách nevyžaduje žádnou speciální zimní ochranu. Staré stonky doporučujeme ponechat na záhoně přes celou zimu, nejen kvůli estetickému efektu, ale i jako přirozenou ochranu kořenového krčku. Suchou nadzemní část sestřihněte až brzy na jaře, těsně nad zemí, ještě před rašením nových lístků. Co se týče pěstování v nádobách, vzhledem k výšce dvou metrů není tato rostlina pro běžné truhlíky či malé květináče ideální. Pokud ji přesto chcete mít na terase, zvolte velmi velkou a těžkou nádobu, která zajistí stabilitu proti větru a udrží dostatek vláhy, protože v květináči substrát vysychá mnohem rychleji než ve volné půdě. Rostlina netrpí na škůdce ani choroby, což z ní dělá bezproblémovou dominantu zahrady.

The Goldsturm cultivar grows to a height of about seventy centimeters and does not need support. From August to October, it produces a flood of golden-yellow flowers with distinctly dark centers.
